There's nothing like a HSV.
On Playstation 2 V8 Supercars 2 was a fantastic title which sold by the millions worldwide (some of you in Europe would know the game as TOCA Race Driver). The series has provided not only some of the most realistic racing in some of the most loved motorsports around the world, but also a level of damage unrivaled in racing games on any system. This PSP version promises to include all the features from the PS2 game so rev heads will be able to enjoy the thrill of racing while on the road (literally).

Note the PS2 advertising!
The PSP edition of V8 Supercars 2 will feature all 15 different motorsports, including GT Sports Car Racing, Street Racing, Rally, DTM, V8 Supercars, Global GT Lights, Rally Cross, Formula Ford, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Classic Car Racing, Super Truck Racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, Ice-Racing, Convertible Racing, and Performance Cars. In total the game will include over 30 different global championships and 52 circuits from around the world.

Is that a Skyline?
One of the great features of the PSP is the ability to link up systems via Wi-Fi, and this game promises to allow LAN play for up to 8 players simultaneously. If you don't have any friends don't dispair as the single player game will also allow for up to 21 cars on the track simultaneously. Just think about that; 21 cars. Sony's Gran Turismo series on PS2 only manages six cars - and no damage either!

Classic cars...
V8 Supercars 2 should be one of the racing games of choice on PSP this year. Indeed the graphics look every bit as impressive as the Playstation 2 game and with the release of Polyphony Digital/Sony's Gran Turismo Mobile is still up in the air - it's no show at E3 was very suprising and may hint at a delay until 2006.

Codemasters are currently targeting V8 Supercars for the systems launch this September. Petrol heads, be prepared.
