The side viewpoint.
Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series has really made an impact in the current generation. While EA's FIFA titles have always dominated the market in terms of sales at retail Konami have made major inroads with more realistic gameplay and as a results they are slowly levelling the market share. Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is the latest game in the series and in a major surprise the game is set to be released on the Playstation Portable at the same time as other major consoles - November 2005.

Should be an easy save.
As many of you will be aware the Pro Evolution series is reknowned for its gameplay. The range of animations is impressive while the AI is very impressive. Don't think things will be cut down for the PSP either with the game set to be every bit as impressive as its bigger cousins. In terms of available clubs and international sides the PSP version will be virtually identical with 57 national sides lining up alongside 136 club teams - very impressive.

Solo players can also hone their skills within six different leagues and a host of cup tournaments, and the PSP game can also be linked to the PlayStation 2 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 for data exchange. Using this, players can import teams they have created within the PlayStation 2 game for use against friends on their PSP, or swap teams with other PSP users. This sounds like a great feature so let's hope it all comes together as expected.

Graphics are pretty crisp.
Pro Evolution Soccer 5 also benefits from a number of exclusive features designed to showcase the PSP's unique capabilities. The highly-competitive multi-player aspects of the game are highlighted using the hardware's wireless systems. Using this, players within a certain network radius can challenge rival Pro Evolution Soccer 5 fans to games, with all data related to match results - goals for, goals against, wins, etc - retained in a running tally.

Expect a release in late November, slightly after the PS2 game hits the shelves
