Getting a 14-hit combo.
Now this is something quite different for the PSP launch - it's a Beat 'em Up, and one of Capcom's best. Not only is it a part of the Darkstalker series, but combines the best characters from the previous five titles from the last 10 years. Fans of the series may recognise this title as actually a port of the Japanese Dreamcast classic Vampire Chronicle For Matching Service. The Dreamcast title was a stunning game - we were lucky enough to own a copy for a while, but PSP owers will be pleased to hear that this game looks every bit as impressive.

Ohhh... character selection screen.
Carry the fight with you to hell and back! Jedah, lord of one of the three hells, has gathered the Darkstalkers. They must fight to save their demonic world. They must fight to save their souls. In all Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower includes 18 different fighters from the five classic Darkstalkers games.

Wi-Fi is also being supported for up to 4-players to brawl it out.

Backgrounds look quite nice.
One neat option for this game is to switch the graphics from a 16:9 mode to give it a fullscreen, but slightly stretched appearance, or to set it to 4:3 mode which gives the game some small borders on the left and right side of the screen. The 2D graphics really have transferred very well to the PSP with some of the best animation in a 2D fighter ever.

Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower is due out for the PSP's launch this September.
