Activision Hits Remixed lets players relive the dawn of home console gaming while on the go by delivering over 40 of the biggest Atari 2600 titles such as Pitfall, Kaboom!, Chopper Command, Stampede, and Keystone Kapers. While the full list is yet to be unveiled I would desperately love to see the likes of Enduro, Barnstorming, River Raid I & II, Decathalon, Dragster, Fishing Derby and Tennis - and odds are that many of those games will also be in the compilation.
Multi-player games will be supported by alternating turns and sharing a PSP or simultaneously. A “Game Share” feature allows two friends to play together using only one copy of the game.
As with most good compilations the game includes many in-game goals to unlock 80’s memories including timeless Atari 2600 television ads, Activision patches, original game manuals which include tips, developer photographs and more. While playing the game you will even be able to chill out to a wonderful 1980's soundtrack with songs such as “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister , “I Ran” by A Flock of Seagulls and more.
There's still a tonne of information to be released about this game but with a release set for early 2007 in Australia there won't be too long to wait until we get a full game list. Stay tuned.
