Graphics look fairly neat.
I love my superhero movies. The original Superman was, and still is, a breakthrough movie and the Batman movies are also a favourite. After a quiet period it seems that comic book based movies are coming thick and fast with movies like Blade, Hellboy, X-Men, and of course Spiderman filling the theatres worldwide. Get set for another entry, and one which is almost certain to become one of the bigger franchises, Fantastic Four from 20th Century Fox.

Boom!
Marvel's first family of comic superheroes takes the world by storm as the longest running comic book series in history comes to the big screen and now the small screen. As expected the title is pretty much a straight forward action game. Combining to battle Dr Doom the levels are inhabited with dozens of enemies. Little has been seen of the game yet but we can expect to see plenty more in the coming weeks in the lead-up to E3. We do know about the four superheroes however. Here's their details...

Rumble in the jungle.
Mr. Fantastic / Reed Richards – Use Mr. Fantastic’s ability to stretch in order to attack from a distance, squeeze into tight spaces and reach places no one else can. Use his brainpower to heal characters, hack computers, over-ride security systems and take control of enemy’s weapons to use against them.

Invisible Girl / Sue Storm – Play as the Invisible Girl to turn invisible and perform stealth moves with ninja like speed or use her telekinetic powers to immobilize enemies.

Slams him into the wall.
Human Torch/Johnny Storm – As the Human Torch, players can create walls of fire and supernova fireballs, shoot fire from their fingertips and bend flames at their will as they ward off enemies.

Thing/Ben Grimm – Use Thing’s raw brute force to pick up objects or tear them apart, break through walls and obstacles and obliterate enemies.

Mr Fantastic.
Activision are also catering for multi-player with the addition of a two-player co-op story mode. If you don't like the idea of being buddies the developers are also including head-to-head multiple arena battles with each character having their own special powers and attributes.

This game looks quite nice. Activision have a history of solid comic book/superhero based games including Spider-man, Blade II, X-Men Legends, Shrek 2 and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events while the developers 7 Studios have developed Defender and Legion: Legend of Excalibur, both quite entertainming titles in their own right. With the games release set for mid-2005 (the movie is due in American on July 8th) it's a game that fans of both the comic book, and movie, should enjoy.
