Surrounded by enemies.
Yet another budget game from Midas, this one due out in a couple of weeks, but before you close this page thinking it's a bad game I have to urge you not to. You see, budget games are no longer there poorer titles. Even companies like Take Two, Electronic Arts and Red Ant are releasing bigger titles at cheaper prices as the market changes. No longer is the PS2 seen as the system for hardcore gamers, it's now a family system, and cheaper games ensure sales. This game, Deadly Strike isn't a game for youngsters, this is an action title.

The effects look pretty nice.

Not the worst graphics ever...
This game takes place over six very large stages. The developers have included six characters to master, each of which has different melee weapons, guns and hand-to-hand combat techniques. A special "Kill" combo system helps develop your characters abilities and unlocks new game features. Keep your character alive as long possible in 'Survival' or play through the game as an enemy character in 'Extra' mode. To top it all off the developers are including a 2-player co-op mode.

For only $29.95 here in Australia it's hard to see how you can go wrong with Deadly Strike. It certinaly looks nice enough, and if the gameplay matches the graphics there has to been some fun gained from this title. Expect a late February release.
