The highlight: Super SF2 Turbo.
With Capcom's lengthy arcade history they have a long line of titles to select from when developing a compilation package. Indeed their first package, simply titled Capcom Classics Collection was one of the greatest compilations of all time and in our review (which you can read here) we awarded the title a monster score of 90%. So here we are, a bit over a year later Capcom has produced a second compilation of games - and it includes several big name titles that never made it to the first package. If you like your retro compilations then this is a package we think will be well worth checking out.

The classic Captain Commando.
So I guess the most important thing is to look at, and then thing you are most interested in, is the titles included in this package, of which there are 20 in total. The games include: 1941: Counter Attack, Avengers, Black Tiger, Block Block, Captain Commando, Eco Fighters, The King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, Last Duel, Magic Sword, Mega Twins, Quiz & Dragons, Side Arms: Hyperdyne, Street Fighter, Strider, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, The Speed Rumbler, Three Wonders, Tiger Road and Varth.

Little known Block Block.
Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2 offers plenty of variety with everything from top down shooters, 2D Brawlers, Side Scrolling action titles, and puzzle games. Each of the 20 titles is fairly well know. While there were a couple of games in the original title that were unknown this package looks at lot more stable across the board.

When you look at that list it probably doesn't quite have that same 'wow' factor as the original package. Having said that there are still plenty of superb games in this bundle with standouts including 1941: Counter Attack, Captain Commando, Magic Sword, Knights of the Round, and our pick for the best game in the compilation - Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

King of Dragons.
As with the previous compilation this package will include plenty of bonus features including remixed soundtracks, original art and history of the game. Capcom, and developers Digital Eclipse, did a magnificent job of porting the games in the original package and we would expect no less this time. I can only hope that yet again gamers can re-configure the graphics to put the scores off to the side, or to actually stretch the image in both vertical and horizontal directions. It was a magnificent inclusion last time.

With Activision now distributing Capcom's titles in Australia gamers can expect Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2 on the shelves towards the end of February. This is going to be a game well worth picking up with a RRP of only $AU49.95.
