The cars produce skids and smoke.
Auto Modellista may look like a rather childish racing game, but it's not. Capcom have used a cartoon cell shaded style graphics, dubbed Artistoon, to distinguish it from many other races, but behind the graphics is an extremely detailed physics engine. Even more exciting is the promise from Capcom that the game will include online support. If Capcom can pull this game off, and they are expecting worldwide sales of over one million units, then this game could open new doors to more exciting and extravagant titles.

Cell shaded visuals are intriguing.
This game allows you to either create and customize your own over-the-top racing machine to handle the road like a pro, or choose from over 60 top-of-the-line models from companies such as Mazda, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Subaru. Beat your best time or compete against other driving opponents. Feel the rush of speed as you tear past the spectators, manoeuvre your way through tight mountain passes and round each corner of the racing track in your ultimate dream car. As you battle your way to the finish line, realize, this is more than just a cartoon!

Yes, in-game graphics are very good.
The courses on offer are set across a variety of levels including city streets, mountains and proper racing tracks. As previously mentioned the physics engine is very details, and the cars are fully customisable including the brakes, tyres, suspension, turbine kits, mufflers, computers and much more.

As for game modes, well, we can expect a 2-player split screen mode, single player mode and a VJ mode, which allows you to modify the replays. It remains unclear if the game will actually be playable online.

I'm not sure how well the graphics in this game will be received, especially outside Japan, but it will certainly look original. The most important thing to remember is that this game is probably just as impressive on the physics side as Gran Turismo 3. With a release expected around October in America, and hopefully Australia soon after, this game will certainly be something quite different.
