    PS4 News
Without a doubt one of the most exciting games due out this year is Just Cause 3. Now we have the first trailer for the game, and while it's pretty short, there is no doubt the excitement levels look to be justified. Check it out...

WB Games have announced Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition will be released on Playstation 4 on May 13 for $AU89.95 in stores. The release includes the main game and all currently available downloadable content (DLC) packs, allowing fans to experience hours of added gameplay and content including:

    • Story Packs: The Lord of The Hunt and The Bright Lord
    • Skins: The Dark Ranger, Captain of the Watch, Lord of the Hunt, The Bright Lord, Power of Shadow and Lithariel Skins
    • Runes: Hidden Blade, Deadly Archer, Flame of Anor, Rising Storm, Orc Slayer, Defiant to the End, Elven Grace, Ascendant, One with Nature
    • Missions: Guardians of the Flaming Eye, The Berserks and The Skull Crushers Warband Missions

Warner Brothers have today released details about the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and for fans of the game it's going to be a pretty big offering, and one that will empty your wallet. In fact, the Season Pass, will come with a whopping $AU59.95 price tag. That's right, the extra content will cost almost a much as an entirely new game. As the press release states "The Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass will deliver regular new content for six months post-launch including new story missions, additional super-villains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks.".

What is even more amusing is a Premium Edition of the game which carries a $159.90 price point - basically you're just buying the game and paying for the Season Pass up front - with no incentive to do so. Now don't get me wrong, there's probably a lot of content in the DLC but, for us, the price of post-release DLC is getting crazy, but even worse, we're now being asked to plonk down almost double the cost of the game (especially when it will likley be discounted at retailers in launch week), in the hope that the added content is going to be great value. This is becoming the big con folks, be wary and remember you can buy the DLC when it launches - after you see the reviews.

Over the last day or so word came through that Konami were about to remove P.T. Demo from the Playstation Store, but the reasons have been question with rumours abounding that Silent Hills, the game which was announced with the surprise demo as a collaboration between Hideo Kojima and Guellermo Del Toro, was cancelled. The director of Hellboy and Pacific Rim stated that "It's not gonna happen and that breaks my greasy heart." What a shame...

Like night follows day Acitivision have unveiled their new Call of Duty game for this year, the strongly rumoured Black Ops 3 from developers Treyarch. It's looking pretty awesome, so rather then prattle on, here's the trailer...

    PS4 Review
Borderlands: Handsome Collection is a compilation release of both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as well as all the DLC released for the titles. Of course the PS4 version also sees a bump in the visuals. This is yet another cracker release and essential purcase for PS4 owners.

    PS4 Review
Ride is the latest racing game from Italian developers Milestone. No longer shackled to a restrictive license (such as their MotoGP or WRC titles), this game includes multiple bike manufacturers, as well as customisation, rider gaear and track. It's a solid release, but really one for racing fans only.

If you picked up Final Fantasy Type-0 on PS4 recently (and we will be doing or review very soon, we promise) then you would have also likely checked out the impressive demo for Final Fantasy XV. Square-Enix have just released a trailer called "Top 15 Moments from the FINAL FANTASY XV Demo" and yep, it's pretty good stuff.

    Personal News
It has been a fantastic couple of days for myself and my wife - it was the Supanova Pop Culture Expo on the Gold Coast and we met three Star Trek legends - Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koenig and George Takei were all present and we got a photo with the three of them and listened to their wonderful presentations. Also exciting was meeting Dolph Lundgren (Ivan Drago from Rocky IV and Gunner from The Expendables trilogy) and see his seminar while it was also an honor to meet Christopher Lloyd (yes, Doc from Back to the Future). A couple of close friends are into Cosplay - they were fantastic as Batman, Nightwing, Robin! What a great weekend despite the massive crowds.

Electronic Arts has unveiled a small title that may be of interest to gamers today - Star Wars: Battlefront. Developed by DICE the game supports up to 40-players online and focuses on the online gameplay with no single player storyline, although there will be some missions set up for single players, or smaller groups. Anyway the trailer looks phenomenal - almost too good to be true. Check it out...

    PS4 News
Activision have today announced Guitar Hero Live for release this Spring. As the press release states "Developed by FreeStyleGames, the studio behind the critically-acclaimed DJ Hero and DJ Hero 2, Guitar Hero Live introduces two powerful ways to play, including GH Live, a first-person point of view where you are up on stage as the star of the show. A quantum leap forward in immersion and realism, GH Live is a live-action experience that delivers the full emotional roller coaster of being on stage and performing in a real band, in front of real crowds, who dynamically react in real-time to how well or poorly you play. As the lead guitarist, you play an array of songs that span the changing musical landscape, in a variety of venues, from the smallest club stage in front of a hundred people, to the massive main stage of an outdoor festival in front of a hundred thousand people." Check out the live action announcement trailer below with some gameplay from the 2.35 minute mark.

One disappointment about Guitar Hero Live is that the game won't be compatible with controller from previous games in the series. So no need to dust them off, but there will be a need to spend more money on peripherals yet again. Sigh... The good news - Rock Band is also coming back but that game will allow you to use old controllers.

It's a big day for fighting fans with Warner Brothers Games releasing Mortal Kombat X on PS4, XBox One and PC. One of the most exciting aspects of the game is the ability to play as the classic Predator in the game - although you will need to purchase the Kombat Pack which is DLC. It also includes horror icon from the Friday the 13th films, Jason Voorhees, two Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants, Tanya and Tremor. The game looks fantastic so fighting fans should check it out.

Slightly Mad Studios have confirmed that Project Cars will run at 60fps at full 1080p resolution on Playstation 4. XBox One retains that frame rate but drops to 900p resolution while PC gamers, with super decked out rigs will be able to run in resolutions up to 12k!

Slightly Mad Studios' racing game Project Cars will be with us in May (after numerous delays), but the company has announced that a new car will be provided as free DLC every month. The first car is the Lykan Hypersport - a car which features in the new Furious 7 film. Check out the brief, but gorgeous, trailer below...

Activision have released a trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Exo Zombies Infection. It's a pretty nice look at the co-op experience.

Mortal Kombat X is due out soon and WB Games have just released a live-action TV advertisment for the game. It's pretty nice, but I have to say, the crowd could have run to a location that looked similar to the game perhaps! Still, enjoy...
