    Blu-Ray Review
Noah was always going to be an intersting film - a great cast and with Darren Aronofsky directing there were high expectations. Any biblical tale told in film is fraught with the possibility of upsetting people, and Noah is no exception. This will divide opinion, but the acting and visuals are superb.

    Industry News
Did you have problems connecting to the Playstation Network over the weekend. Well the network apparently came under attack over the weekend from a hacking group called Lizardsquad. The attack wasn't a security breach (and Sony have confirmed no information was taken) but rather a DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) which floods the network blocking traffic. Several other online game networks were also affected including and League of Legends. No doubt the incident is being investigated, and apparently a hacking group also called in a bomb threat against a Sony executive on a plane - so now the FBI is involved too.

    PS3 News
Sony Japan has announced that they will be shutting down the Playstation Home service from March 2015. Playstation Home has been widely used in Europe and America, but the online environment has struggled in Japan to build a large following. No word if, or when, Europe or America may see the service stop.

    Blu-Ray Review
The Raid 2 is the sequel to the phenomenally entertaining 2012 Indonesian action film. This sequel takes a very different approach with a much deeper story, more emotion and plenty more action sequences. A brilliant film that action fans should check out.

Well it seems that Resident Evil: Revelations 2 may actually be happening. Some sneaky chap has found apparent boxart from the title on the XBox servers which you can see here - although Capcom hasn't mentioned anything about the game as yet, and it could be a dummy box or cancelled project, it looks pretty polished.

    PS4 News
Sony have today released a 6-minute video for the upcoming PS4 action title Bloodborne. It looks, well, just fantastic. Check it out...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is another phenomenal looking title coming out on the PS4 and today the developers have released a 35 minute gameplay video. Given the reported 100 hour game length it shouldn't offer too many spoilers!

    PS3 News
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, in an interview with GameInformer (which you can read here) has confirmed that the company will be moving away from last generation consoles. He states that "What we see is that this year is still fine for the PS3 and 360, but next year because they are selling very quickly, we’ll move to the new hardware. After 2015, it will be hard for us to create games for those systems".

    PS4 News
So Microsoft announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider was to be a XBox exclusive for release in Holiday 2015 a couple of days ago, and the internet lit up like a Christmas tree - and we too were pretty pissed. Well it has since come to light that the game isn't a complete platform exclusive, but has since been revealed as a timed exclusive. So while it's not announced there is every likelyhood that sometime in 2016, PS4 (and perhaps PS3) gamers will also get to enjoy Lara's latest adventure.

What can we say about Project Cars other then it's looking absolutely gorgeous. Today NamcoBandai have released a Gamecom Trailer and it's gorgeous.

Activision have released a new trailer for Destiny which focuses on the planet Mars. Impressive stuff of course.

    PS4 News
One of the big announcements from Sony's Gamescom Press Conference is that the company has sold through 10 million Playstation 4 systems since the consoles launch. That's double Microsoft's XBox One sales, although their figures are sold-in which includes unsold units sitting on store shelves. Well done Sony.

    PS4 News
While Sony's Gamescom press conference isn't until tomorrow some news and trailers are starting to emerge already, and there are some crackers. First up is the latest trailer for Mortal Kombat X with the "Official Kano" Trailer showing off a fight between Kano and newcomer D'Vorah. The game is looking pretty spectacular already and is due out in 2015.

If you thought that was bloody and gory then think again as this new trailer for Dead Island 2 is probably one of the bloodiest things you will ever see. But it's oh so glorious too. Check it out, oh and expect a release in Q'2 2015..

Ubisoft have today announced Toy Soldiers War Chest for release on the Playstation 4 (and XBox One and PC) in early 2015. The downloadable title is currently in development at Signal Studios and looks pretty decent. Trailer time.

    Blu-Ray Competition
Sabotage Blu-Ray Giveaway. The title says it all really with this latest Arnold Schwarzenegger starring available on Blu-Ray soon, and we have three copies to give away. Given this film didn't hit Australian cinemas this is your first chance to see the film. Entries close August 20.

    PS4 News
Excited about Diablo III: Ultimate Edition coming out in a bit over a week? Well certainly consider purchasing the physical disc - if you live in Europe. The download weighs in at an unbelievably hefty 62.7GB. The American and Australian version - which obviously drops a lot of languages from Europe - is a much slender 26.1GB (which is still quite large mind you).

GTAV is a game we can't wait to see on next-gen consoles, but as yet we have no official release date, and we still don't however Amazon has just listed the title for November 14 in Germany. We're going to say that a pre-Christmas release, and this date, is likely. Gamescom announcement incoming perhaps?

    PS4 News
Bungie have confirmed today that characters created in the Destiny beta will not carry into the main game when it launches on September 9. As mentioned in this update "our Beta characters won’t transfer to the final version of Destiny. The vaults have been cleaned out, too. Since the Beta, we’ve continued to tune and adjust the game. The way you earn experience has been adjusted up and down a bunch of times. Items have been added and removed. New features toggled. Although there’s no single monumental change, the sum of the tweaks leaves characters from the Beta Build in strange shape that would be confusing at best, broken at worst."

    PS4 News

    PS4 News
Take Two have today announced that their upcoming shooter Evolve will be delayed from the expected October 21 release date to February 10 2015. While it gets the game away from the crowded October it will be missed as it was one of the best looking games at E3 this year.

Konami have confirmed that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has sold 3 copies on PS4 for every 1 copy sold on XBox One. Seems the series is more popular with Sony gamers. Either that or the technical superiority saw people prefer Sony's version.

    PS4 News
As rumoured for some time Ubisoft have finally confirmed Assassin's Creed: Rogue is in development for PS3 and XBox 360 - no PS4 version. The game is due out in November.

    PS4 News
For older gamers this might very well be the most exciting news in recent times - Michel Ancel has sort of quit Ubisoft. Well, thats not great news really, but in doing so Ubisoft Montpellier have confirmed they are working on Beyond Good & Evil 2. Michel Ancel has formed his own studio called Wild Sheep Studio with 13 staff, but will continue to work with Ubisoft Montpellier on the highly anticpated sequel.
