Electronic Arts have confirmed they have parted ways with Tiger Woods for the branding on their PGA titles. As we all know Tiger hit some problems off the course a couple of years ago but EA stuck with him. That partnership has now ended and EA will brand their golf games without his name for future, including next-gen releases.
Activision have today released a Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer showing off the "Extinction" mode which shows off, well, alien life forms. Needless to say it's looking mighty impressive so check it out...
You may have noticed the site has been a little slow with updates of late. In part that's as there hasn't been a great deal of news to report with everyone getting ready for next-gen, but also I've been struck down with an illness over the last week, and in recent weeks have been preparing for a new addition to the family - due the day after PS4 launch no less?! Still, starting to get on the mend so updates should resume more frequently soon.

PS3 Review F1 2013 is the latest in Codemasters racing franchise based on the worlds biggest motor franchise. This years title is certainly functional, and it's quite a polished racing game, however Michael felt this latest game lacked a bit of innovation. Still Formula One fans will likely enjoy this release.

Well here's an interesting one we spotted today - A game has been through the Australian Classification Process and been given an R18+ rating. The rating however is set to be appealed by the ACMA apparently. We know next to nothing about the game other then it is "Multiplatform". The original details are available here and announcement of the review here.
Now we're going to completely speculate here, but we suspect the game may be EA's Battlefield 4. That's a complete guess, but it's one of the few mutliplatform titles toward the end of the year that may attract such a rating - and Activisions COD: Ghosts and Sony's Killzone: Shadow Fall have both been given MA15+ ratings. The appeal is also set for October 23 which is only a few days before EA's shooter is due out. We might be completely wrong however.
October 17, 2013
So it's not really game related, but it sort of is, but Eminem's new single "Survival" is out now, and the video clip does feature footage from Call of Duty: Ghosts and is featured in the game. Check it out...

Blu-Ray Review NBA 2K14 is a franchise that has a massive following, and rightfully so. With EA's NBA Live franchise pretty much dead until a next-gen revival down the line this is the only NBA title on the market. Fortunately, it's another superb release and well worth picking up.
October 13, 2013

Those of you looking to play Grand Theft Auto V online may have noticed quite a few issues since the online component launched 2 days ago. As of right now Rockstar are working frantically to fix the issues, and at the moment have stopped the microtransaction purchases to buy in-game cash. At the moment, you will have to earn it the real way - by completing missions. Needless to say things are improving every day, including bug fixes for the single player campaign in the Online patch.

PS3 Review Grand Theft Auto V should need no introduction - in fact we're certain it doesn't. Rockstar's open-world game is certain to be the biggest release of 2013 - and $US800 million in launch day sales are proving that. But is the game any good? No, it's bloody brilliant.

His tweet states "Capcom just announced that "deep down" will be a f2p game on PS4, planning open Beta near the launch of PS4 in Japan. ". Of course Free 2 Play suggests the game will also heavily rely on in-game microtransactions to provide a revenue stream. Time will tell how much this affects the game, but at least it will be free to spend a good amount of time playing.
Rockstar has announced that first day sales of Grand Theft Auto V have surpassed $US800 million on the first day on sale. The previous record was $US500 million which was held by Call of Duty: Black Ops. Many expected Rockstar's title to reach $US1 billion within 30 days, but that seems likely to be reached much sooner.

Electronic Arts have announced via the games Twitter account that NBA Live 14 will be released on the PS4 on November 19 in America, a week after the consoles launch. There is no European date yet, but with the console releasing a bit over aweek later we suspect it may be a launch title here. The game is not coming to current-gen consoles.
So this month XBox 360 owners received Rainbow Six: Vegas - the 2006, 7-year old game, for their freebie. That's quite laughable when Sony Europe are giving away three phenomenal, and 12-month old games Far Cry 3, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. PSVita owners get the phenomenal Street Fighter x Tekken as well as Touch My Katamari. Massive win for Sony!
Today is, of course the day that Grand Theft Auto V comes out and, well, we expect quite a few sick gamers today needing to stay home. We'd also suspect if you're reading this you're already half way out the door to the shops... so, umm, enjoy GTAV launch day!

Fuel Overdose competes with GTA V for a new sales record
Tokyo (September 16th, 2013). While GTA V is about to hit the stores and break a new sales record, Skander Djerbi founder of I-Friqiya is proud to announce that Fuel Overdose available on the PlayStation Store for PS3 is about to break a new record: Released in December 2012 in Europe and March 2013 in North America, the game sold... 600 units worldwide. With such a performance, Fuel Overdose that some reviewers (drunk?) considered as an “outstanding” game could even compete for the title of the worst selling console game of all times.
I-Friqiya is proud to mark the history of the video game culture and encourages other publishers and developers to publish their sales figures to challenge Fuel Overdose’s performance and unveil a part of the truth regarding the current situation of the digital download markets.
The Fuel Overdose team would also like to remind that Fuel Overdose is available on the North American PlayStation Store ($9.99) and that there are only 2 days left before the end of the special time-limited offer (83% off - only €1.99 instead of €11.99) on the European PlayStation Store.
XBox One News
After stating yesterday that the game runs at 1080p, Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has today confirmed that one of the biggest XBox One launch titles Ryse: Son of Rome from Crytek actually runs at 900p resolution. EA's Peter Moore has confirmed in this Blog post that FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25 and Battlefield 4 will be launch titles on the PS4 - that's November 29 in Europe and Australia and November 12 in America. Those of you looking to pre-load Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V from the Playstation Store may want to take note that the European version will be available from Sunday September 15 while Americans won't be able to download the game until Monday September 16, the day before release. The game was put up a couple of weeks ago however hackers found a way to decode the files thereby leaking the song tracklist and much of the games storyline at which point Sony removed the download, and issued an apology to Rockstar!

Released in Japan on February 22, 2014 - that's a couple of months after America/Europe. Price will be 39,980 yen. The system will be released later in Japan to allow more time to develop more unique game titles for Japan. (Gotta say Japanese gamers have to be a bit disappointed right now!).
PS4 First Limited Pack will include a PS4, and download code for Knack, and (we think) 2-year warranty for the same price as the console on its own.
Four disc based and four downloadable titles - Knack (made by same developer as "Ratchet and Crack" according to translator hehe), inFamous: Second Son, Driveclub and (we think) Killzone. Downloadable titles include Flower, Doki Doki Universe, Hohokum and Resogun. Not sure why the delay given they are all launch window titles in America/Europe except inFamous.
The Playroom is being shown - a series of motion controlled mini-games which comes pre-loaded on all consoles.

Capcom's deepdown is given the trailer treatment and then given a playable demonstration, will be an online game, new engine co-developed with SCEE engineers.
