    PS3 Review
Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2 is Koei's latest in their action franchise, and Michael, despite not being a big fan of the franchise, has played through this title for review. He enjoyed it more then he thought he would, but the game remains one for fans only.

    PS3 News
Sony has confirmed that Uncharted 3 will be going free to play online from tomorrow. The multiplayer version of the game will be downloadable from the Playstation Store, and allow you to rank up to Level 15.

    PS4 News
Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs is being developed with the PC as the lead platform, with the title then being ported to other systems - PS4 and PS3 included. The game actually makes use of an entirely new engine, not the one used in the companies Assasin's Creed franchise as rumoured.

Sony Computer Entertainment America has chosen Carat Global as the new media firm for the PS4 launch - replacing Deutsch who hit some bumps of late with the Kevin Butler incident.

    Industry News
Well all other states had jumped on the bandwagon last year, but Queensland has, as of yesterday, finally approved R18+ games for sale our wonderful sunny rain-soaked state. The first game to be released with the R18+ rating will be Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma + on March 7, but more importantly for Sony gamers, God of War: Ascension has also been given the R18+ rating.

As we all know THQ hit bankruptcy and had many of its assets sold off a month or so ago. Now, the remainder of their assets will be sold off on April 1 in five lost. These include Red Faction, Homeworld, MX, Darksiders franchises, and then two bundles Other Owned Software which includes titles such as deBlob, Juiced, Summonder, Destroy All Humans!, Titan Quest and much more. A sixth Bundle includes Licensed Software such as Jeopardy, Stacking, Wheel of Fortune, Worms Marvel Super Hero Squad and The Biggest Loser among others.

    PS3 Review
Dead Space 3 was one of our most anticipated games in early 2013. The first two Dead Space titles were cracking survival horror games - even eclipsing Capcom's Resident Evil franchise in our books. This third game adds co-op and remains just as impressive as previous outings. Here's our full review of this latest title from Visceral Games.

    Playstation 4 Q&A
So there have been a few question raised of late about the Playstation 4, and we have some answers for you.

    • Does the Holiday 2013 release date mean it will be out worldwide at this time? Sadly no. Sony are still to set dates and prices for all territories. Holiday 2013 only relates to America at the moment.
    • Will the Playstation 4 support second hand games? According to Shuhei Yoshida in an interview with Eurogamer (available here) yes, the system will allow secondhand games to be played.
    • Does the system have to be online at all times to play games? No. Sony has confirmed that you do not need to be connected online to play games.
    • What media does the system use? It's a 6x Blu-Ray drive - so around three times faster then the current drive.
    • Why didn't Sony show the console? There are a couple of reasons. First and foremost Sony still haven't finished the design work for the console. Secondly, Sony will most likely show the system for the first time at E3 in June. Finally, Sony probably don't want to tip their hand to Microsoft.
    • When will Microsoft show off their new console? Well nothing is confirmed, but in the last day or so an April unveiling has been rumoured.
    • Will the PS4 be backwards compatable? In short; yes and no. The system won't be able to read or play PS3/PS2 discs in the system, however Sony are working with Gaikai (who they bought a year ago) to make games playable over the internet (or cloud). We do, of course, expect there to be a fee for doing this though.
    • What resolution does the system run at? According to reports games will run at 1080p (and there has been no mention of 3D, but support is a given), however technically the game can do 4K resolution for videos and photos. We can't see any technical reason why games can't do 4K resolution though (which is 3840 x 2160).
    • Which games will be launch titles? At this stage the only confirmed launch title is Killzone: Shadow Fall - all other games shown at the PS4 console launch don't have dates at yet.
    • Are the games shown all those in development? Goodness no. What Sony have shown off is just a small sample of the numerous games in development. In fact all 12 of Sony's internal development studios are working on PS4 titles, and dozens more third party developers too. Expect continual announcements over the coming months.

    PS3 News
Well we suspected it may be heading to PS4 (and indeed it may still be cross-generational we guess) but Sony's Michael Denny has mentioned that Gran Turismo 6 is coming to the PS3. 'nuff said.

    Playstation Meeting Impressions
So the conference is over and major props to Sony who did impress overall. Sure people will be upset that they didn't see "Game X", but those titles will come in time. Others will be upset that a price and date weren't announced, but Sony were never going to do that, and won't want to tip their hand to Microsoft too early. Others will be disappointed the console itself wasn't shown - Sure, we were too, however, ultimately, its a box that will sit under your TV and if you decide to buy a console simply by what it looks like, well, you've got issues. Playstation Plus wasn't shown, but we hear rumours of a much altered service there so maybe Sony want to hold that back for E3 - they need to show something there after all!

Everything else though did impress. Sharing videos is great, but the ability through Gaikai to have friends watch, and help you with your game is fantastic. Gaikai offering a library of previous generation games is great (although this may not be ready at launch by the sounds), while the Dual Shock 4 controller looks to have many upgrades over the PS3 version.

When it comes to games, Sony had a great mixture of first and third party games. Ubisoft's Watch Dogs still looks phenomenal, and the PS4 will show the game to it's full potential. Killzone looked spectacular, although in some way's it is still a FPS - if you don't like the franchise this won't sway you, but it may sway millions of fans to jump onto the PS4 bandwagon. Diablo III coming to PS4 (and PS3) is a big coup for Sony and should be a great early-life RPG on the system. Other games (including Knack and Capcom's Deep Down among others) showed plenty of potential too and we're sure to hear a lot more about them in the coming months.

All-in-all a wonderful presentation from Sony that is going to be hard for Microsoft to top - whenever they announce their new console (which we expect will be in the next month or so). Am I excited from what I saw? Hell yes. For a console not due until late 2013 the games already looks spectacular, and the new abilities in the PS4 are superb.

    Playstation Meeting Livestream
No doubt the best way to see what is happening is to watch the event live - and below is the video... Huzzah! If you miss it, don't have the bandwidth, or are at work (you mean you didn'y take the day off like me!) then we'll also be updating this page with all the details as the happen.

    Playstation Meeting Liveblog

    • 8.40 (note: This is Queensland Time, Event is starting in about 25 minutes) - There are already 150,000 people viewing the Ustream feed (which just has Playstation symbols rotating around) - and rising at about 150+ people per second! We'll blog here all the news if you can't watch the stream.
    • 8.50 - Only 10 minutes until we kick off (if these things ever kick off on time. Let's hope Sony knock this out of the park - while the PS3 was great Sony's dominance in the PS2 era was knocked back considerbly with the PS3 falling well behind the Nintendo Wii in terms of sales, and struggling against XBox 360. Time for redemption we say. Oh, there are now 225,000 people watching the stream live!
    • 8.55 - Not sure if this will start on time - has a conference ever? Some rumours we've heard... Perhaps a God of War appearance on stage, Dual camera to be included with the system, and (concerningly) Sony charging to play online with expanded Playstation Plus type service. Of course, all speculation. 290,000 people watching now - time to start that video stream if not already.
    • 9.00 - Starting on time! Video to kick off the show which covers most Sony properties in Sony's range and a focus on games (no surprise). Nearly 2 decades - we've played together. Damn they are massive screens in the auditorium, wraps around the audience.
    • 9.03 - Andrew House takes the stage. "The stakes are high for what we are going to show you". (430,000 people watching livestream!). Gamer is the focal point for the loungeroom. Ease of access from anywhere from multiple devices.
    • 9.05 - PSVita talk - more details about PSVita later in the year. Talking about pusing Playstation content to mobile phones. Where Sony used to change the consumer, the consumer are now changing Sony.
    • 9.08 - Today will be a glimpse into the future. A lot of talk from Andrew about social networking - to connect and play and stay informed.
    • 9.09 PLAYSTATION 4. That's the official name. (PS4 Logo looks like PS4, with updated number).
    • 9.10 - Andrew House introduces lead system architect Mark Cerny.
    • 9.11 - Mark started working around 5 years ago, looking at where the system would be going. Almost an admission that customising PS3 with the Cell Processor made it too difficult to develop. PS4 is a simpler system architecture for developers, but connecting to the world. A lot of work with developers this time to ensure they are "happy". Discussions started with developers in 2008.
    • 9.15 - PS4 is like a PC archtecure wise. Uses a X86CPU, Enhanced PC GPU, 8GB Unified memory (Huzzah - more then the 4GB rumoured). Still, Sony aren't releasing technical details. System will include a HDD - no size detailed, no SSD mentioned.
    • 9.17 - New Dual Shock 4 controller shown off - slightly different to the leaked development kit one. Enhanced rumble, reduced latency, front touchpad, Share Button, Headphone Jack, Light Bar on the back "to identify controllers". Stereo Camera also included for motion tracking.
    • 9.18 - Unreal Engine 4 running in realtime - a bit choppy on the livestream (now over 500,000 viewers) but should be fantastic.
    • 9.20 - 8CPU cores, almost 2TFlops of computational performance, CPU/GPU on single die, used GDDR5 memory which provides 176GB/sec bandwidth to GPU. Mark is now showing a million object demo on the GPU!
    • 9.21 - Mark is showing off the first title (in trailer form) which he is directing - somewhat cartoon looking characters, clean looking game, and quite impressive actually. It's called Knack from Studio Japan.
    • 9.23 - Simple, Immediate, Social, Integrated, Personalized. Five key words for the new system.
    • 9.24 - Immediate: PS4 supports suspending and resuming play sessions. Secondary custom chip to manage uploads and downloads (background downloads etc). Digital titles playable as they are being downloaded - no need to wait. Huzzah!
    • 9.25 - Social: Dedicated always-on video compression and decompression. Seamless uploading of gameplay via share button on the controller. You can even watch your friend playing their game, and take control to help them in their game!
    • 9.27 - Personalization. The system will customise to your likes.
    • 9.28 - Uh oh - someone pulled the plug on Ustream! (Maybe Microsoft are a bit upset about how good this is going/looking).
    • 9.31 - Ustream feed is back. Now we're talking Gaikai (I think that's Dave Perry? - yep, it is).
    • 9.33 - Share Button on controller allows you to broadcast live to your friends your gaming session, friends can comment to your screen. PS4 games will be playable via remote play to PSVita. Very much like the Wii U tablet screen, you can walk away and play on the PSVita - Mark is back showing Knack being played on a Vita. Most, if not all games should be remote playable. Gaikai technology is built into PS4, turning that into a server, and the PSVita is a client.
    • 9.38 - David confirms PS3 titles not natively playable on PS4. Talking about playing any previous Playstation title on PS4 through Gaikai. Project has been fully greenlit by Sony with the motto "Everything, Everywhere". This will be revealed in future.
    • 9.40 - Developers talking about PS4 development and the new possabilities including Ready at Dawn, Double Fine Productions, Quantic Deram, SCE Worldwide Studios, SCEA, Harmonix Music Systems, Ninja Theory, Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, and Q-Games.
    • 9.46 - Michael Denny from Worldwide studios takes the stage - demo time I suspect.
    • 9.48 - Co-founder of Guerilla Games in on stage annoucing a new Killzone game - Killzone Shadow Fall. God damn! Now that is gorgeous, but unlike the PS3 reveal pre-rendered target video this is being played live. Crazy levels of detail, smoke, fire, NPC's.
    • 9.56 - Another new game from Evolution Studios called DriveClub, focuses on team based racing but also social interaction. Needless to say what is being shown is amazing with an attention to detail that puts a certain Polyphony Digital racer to shame (well, until we might see their franchise on PS4 one day). Trailer showing visuals (we're guessing in-game) is pretty astounding.
    • 10.02 - Another new game - 4.2 million security cameras in Britain. 1.3 million phone records taken from US citizens in 2011. Sucker Punch's new PS4 exclusive game... inFamous: Second Son. Trailer is gorgeous and this will definately be one to watch.
    • 10.08 - Michael Denny is back on stage. Sometimes there are games that "just don't fit" and sometimes smaller teams take creative risks. Three creators with unique visions for indie developers, nd Playstation will continue to support smaller developers.
    • 10.09 - Creator of Braid, Jonathan Blow, to introduce his new puzzle game which will debut on PS4 first. Called The Witness it has been in development for over 3 years now. Takes place in an open world, but a compact world where interesting things happen at all locations. Not padding out the game to make it longer, still 25 hours of gameplay. Trailer time: Pretty gorgeous looking title with a wide variety of locations, deserts, jungles, buildings, water, all set to some lovely music.
    • 10.14 - Michael mentions Killzone demo has been uploaded to Killzone Facebook page. He now introduces David Cage from Quantic Dream. Wants "emotion" in games and the PS4 has the power to provide emotion. Omikrom 350 polygons on the main character, Indigo Prophacy 1500, Heavy rain 15000, Kara demo 20000, Beyond: Two Souls 30000. Now showing a new engine on PS4 with technical demo of a human - it looks insane in quality - photo realistic really. David leaves the stage, no new games.
    • 10.19 - Alex Evans from Media Molecule is on the stage. Using the Move controller to create 3D content - says after a difficult history he now "loves" the Move controller. Showing cerating sculptures using the move controllers. A video showing a band being controlled by Move controllers - to be honest, not 100% sold on this one yet.
    • 10.26 - Michael is back on stage yet again, now talking about 3rd party developers. Virtually every major third party partner will support PS4 (so tell us who isn't!). Capcom's Yoshinori Ono takes the stage. "You want to stretch" Hehe. Not talking about Street Fighter today. Talking in Japanese and English. This guy is fantastic... Showing some of Capcom's history - PSOne brought 3D and Resident Evil, PS2 brough DVD with more detailed grapics for Onimusha and Devil May Cry. The PSP took things out of the living room and brought Monster Hunter to life. The PS3 brought 2D art of Street Fighter to life.
    • 10.31 - Ono continues, the PS4 will user in new entertainment. Capcom have been working on Panta Rhei engine - upgraded MT Framework. Showing off a trailer for a new game Deep Down which looks like a fantasy action/RPG styled game. Gorgeous visuals, but pre-rendered or realtime?
    • 10.34 - Michael confirms, Square-Enix are developing on PS4 with Yoshihisa Hashimoto, the Chief Techonology Officer. Going to demo a realtime cinematic demo using the Luminous Studio game engine. We've seen parts of this in the past, but it looks gorgeous. One last piece of information... from Shinji Hashimoto, Final Fantasy Brand Director, announcement of Final Fantasy coming to PS4 - more details at E3.
    • 10.42 - Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot on the stage to confirm that (as rumoured) Watch Dogs is indeed coming to PS4. It's all about connectivity. A new demo is being shown and the game is absolutely gorgeous with superb lighting and effects, as your character takes down and enemy, but then gets chased by the cops through the streets (of Chicago?)...
    • 10.51 - Michael is back again to introduce Chris Metzen from Blizzard Entertainment - Wow.. first time they are crashing a console conference. Blizzard and Sony have entered into strategic partnership "to take over the world". Hehehe. Announcing that Diablo III is coming to the PS4, as well as PS3! Includes a co-op mode for 4-players. "One couch to rule them all!" Hehehe. Will be shown at PAX East first in a couple of months.
    • 10.57 - Yes, it's Michael again. One more partner. Activision Publishing CEO Eic Hersberg is on the stage. Announcing that Bungie is coming to Playstation finally. Destiny will be on PS4, and is a persistent open world, online FPS. Looks gorgeous, and is apparently due in 2014 (that was confirmed a few days ago). Both PS4 and PS3 versions will be at launch of the game, with Sony consoles to get exclusive content (Bungie must not like Microsoft much anymore for exclusive to be on Sony!).
    • 11.03 - So that's it... showing a final Sizzle Reel, coming in "Holiday 2013". Strangely we haven't seen the system, only the controller.

Playstation Meeting (read: PS4) - Our Speculation
So today is the day that Sony will finally unveil their next-generation console - Playstation 4. That may or may not be the official name (Orbis has also been used), and we expect Sony will go all out to impress. The Meeting may also see the announcement of some PSVita news - a price cut as Japan received a couple of days ago may be announced - as well as some new games. But the focus will, of course, be on Sony's next console.

If we are to take some guesses as to what we'll hear. Well I don't expect a price or firm date announced with "Holiday 2013" being likley. Sony's mega purchase of Gaikai will be on display with streaming of back catalogue titles from PS3, PS2 quite likely. We expect the PS4 will support 4K TV's, but that may only be for media (video, photos), with most games running at 1080p, and in 3D if the developer pushes it.

So what games do we expect to see? Well we've got a wishlist here, but in reality we don't think Sony will want to show all their cards today - hell, just announcing the system and showing off 10 minutes of Uncharted 4 would get people excited (assuming it's in development). Sony will show off some third party games - well put money on at least one or two of these showing up: Watch Dogs, Star Wars 1313, Battlefield 4 and/or Destiny. As for Sony titles, who knows but we expect a racer from Evolution Studios, something new from Media Molecule (not LBP), probably a Killzone from Guerilla, Gran Turismo 6 (or a demo/Prologue) and perhaps something from Naughty Dog. We'll find out at 10am AEDT.

    PS3 News
Oh yar. There are some other things going on today too away from the Playstation Meeting. Electronic Arts have released Crysis 3 today so pick that up if you will, and Capcom have confirmed Virgil's Downfall DLC for DmC: Devil May Cry will be released on March 6.

February 20, 2013

    PS3 News
2K Games have just released a new trailer for Bioshock Infinite called "Land of Columbia". It's damn sweet so check it out...

February 19, 2013

    PS3 News
If you're an Australian looking forward to Metal Gear Solid Rising Revengeance then you might be a little disappointed to hear that the game has been delayed. The good news is that it's only 5 days from February 21, to February 26. The reason for the delay is shipping issues. We've got the game here already and only a couple of hours in we have one word for it: SUPERB.

    PS3 DLC Review
Dragonborn - Skyrim DLC is the first piece of DLC to be released for Skyrim on the PS3 - with the other two packs (released months ago on XBox and PC) also due soon. Michael has taken this latest DLC for a test run and very much enjoyed it. Oh, it's available for half price until tomorrow on the Playstation Store too, so get cracking if you want it.

February 18, 2013

    PSVita News
Sony Japan has just held a PSVita livestream and the big news is that the system is getting a price cut. The Wi-Fi model has seen the price drop from 24,980 yen, to 19.980 yen from February 28. Apparently the 3G version will also drop to the same price (seems strange though, why would gamers opt for the non-3G model then?) Furthermore the company has announced bundles with Phantasy Star Online 2 due March 28, and Soul Sacrifice which is due March 7. Other games include Final Fantasy X HD, God Eater 2, Gundam Breaker, Valhalla Knights 3 and Toukinden - the latter being a 4-player hack and slash game from the makers of Dynasty Warriors.

    PS3/PS4 News
Bungie have unveiled their new project being worked on for Activision. The game is called Destiny and is an online only, open-world shooter. The game won't be cross platform, but the developers have confirmed the game will hit PS3, XBox 360 and "next-generation consoles" - so yes, that means PS4. There isn't a definate date as yet, but late 2013 is possible, 2014 more likley.

    PS3 News
Sony have confirmed that the God of War: Ascension Single Player demo will be released on February 26 on the Playstation Store.

February 16, 2013

    PS3 News
So the game costs about $1.19 on the iOS store, but Angry Birds has been released on disc on the PS3 and sells for about 30x that amount at $40 recommended retail here in Australia. That hasn't stopped gamers grabbing the title with a whopping 1 million copies sold on consoles to date.

    Industry News
According to reports Take Two has grabbed the rights to WWE titles from the now-dead THQ. The franchise will apparently still be developed at Yukes but by Take Two stepping in it has saved the WWE and Yukes from losses due to THQ's demise.

February 13, 2013

    PS3 Preview
Tomb Raider is due for release in under a month there is no better time to have a last minute look at what to expect from this franchise reboot. In short; this looks phenomenal and every bit the game that the franchise deserves. Here's a preview with the latest details, including multiplayer, and screens.

February 12, 2013

    PS3 News
So are you looking forward to Tomb Raider? You're not alone and the developers have posted a video (with commentary from the games Creative Director Noah Hughes) which shows off almost 12 minutes of gameplay. Sure there are some minor spoilers (you are watching the game overall), but it's fantastic. Check it out...

February 11, 2013

    Blu-Ray Review
Looper has an absoltuely fantastic cast including Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt but more importantly a superb script that doesn't mess up time travel, and superb presentation on Blu-Ray. This is a film, and disc, well worth checking out.

February 10, 2013

    PS3 News

Two bonus games will be announced at a later date and will be provided free for those who purchased all other games (in packs or individually). Australian pricing isn't confirmed but the first pack will be $US4.99 for 3 games, and subsequent packs $9.99.

February 7, 2013

    PS3 News
Sony Australia have announced that the Playstation 3 will soon be available in Australia in two new colours - Azurite Blue and Garnet Red. These will be the 500GB "Super Slim" consoles with a RRP in Australia of $AU399.95 and will be available on February 21. (no, this isn't the big news we expect to come out of the Playstation Meeting on February 21!).

Well it has previously been announced as a Nintendo Wii U exclusive, and the first game to be slapped with a R19+ rating in Australia, and now Midscape have confirmed that Tecmo Koei's Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will also be coming to the PS3 (and XBox 360). The game is due out in a couple of months.

February 5, 2013

    PS3 News
All Interactive and Rising Star Games have confirmed that Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut will be released in Australia on the PS3 in April 2013. The game divided critics when first released scoring 10/10 on Destrucoid, and 2/10 on IGN (that's for the non-Director's Cut which the PS3 is getting in Australia). The Directors Cut comes with a new scenario, improved visuals and controls and DLC included on the disc. The game has not been rated at the Classification Board as yet but a R18+ rating is possible given the content.

While Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale wasn't the fantastic game everyone hoped for sales for the PS3 and PSVita title have been mediocre at best (although it's hard to gauge how many copies have been sold through PSN). Now Sony and developers Superbot have confirmed that further developments on the title have been shifted in-house at Sony with the company effectively ending their contract with Superbot.

Electronic Arts have confirmed that their demo for Dead Space 3 has been downloaded over 2 million times on all platforms. To us, the demo wasn't the greatest, but we have high hopes the game offers much more - as well as microtransactions for people that can't be bothered working to earn equipment by playing the game proper. We'll have more on that interesting topic soon/in the review.

    Blu-Ray Review
Safety Not Guaranteed isn't a film we were familiar with prior to receiving the Blu-Ray for review. While this this isn't normally our type of film, with a brilliant script and some great acting, we thorougly enjoyed this and we highly recommend it to everyone. Superb.

    PSVita News
Double Eleven, who developed Littlebigplanet on the PSVita, have announced they will be releasing Frozen Synapse: Tactics on the handheld later this year. The game is a remake of Mode 7's original title on PC/Mac but promises enhanced visuals and gameplay.

Sony has announced that Killzone: Mercenary, in development at Guerilla Cambridge, will be released on PSVita in September 2013. The game is looking mightly slick and it has been confirmed the title even uses the AI engine from PS3 title Killzone 3. The single player campaign will be 6-8 hours long while the PSVita title will support 8 players with six maps and three game modes. Here's a trailer for this pretty awesome looking title...

February 4, 2013

    PS3 News
Capcom has confirmed that sales of Resident Evil 6 have failed to meet expectations. The company had anticipated sales of 7 million units, but to date only 4.8 million copies have been sold.

    Blu-Ray Review
Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D is a film that is sure to have extreme sports fans quite excited. Besides Jackass, Nitro Circus is probably the most well known "stunt" team. While the former franchise with Johnny Knoxville is more into pranks, this group uses extreme stunts, and if the go wrong there may be no second take. Here's our review of the 3D Blu-Ray.

February 2, 2013

    Blu-Ray Review
Resident Evil: Retribution is the fifth Resident Evil film, and sees Milla Jovovich back as Alice, as well as several actors from previous films including Michelle Rodriguez. Is the franchise starting to get stale, or is it still fresh? Here's our review...

February 1, 2013

    PS4 News
Well February 20 (well, February 21 in Australia) could be the day folks. Sony have announced they will be holding a Playstation Meeting in New York - the one a couple of years ago was to announce the Playstation Vita and the one prior the Playstation 3. While not confirmed, it's quite likley that this one will be used to officially announce the Playstation 4 - or Orbis if the rumoured codename is being kept.

So what do we think? Well 2013 is going to see the launch of two key systems - the PS4 and XBox 720 (or whatever they are called). Sony will want to jump out and give gamers a taste of what to expect, get the early buzz going for their system, wipe out any potential threat from Nintendo Wii U (which is currently underperforming). I would expect Sony will show off several key titles (and we're going to speculate that there will be a new Killzone, a new property from Media Molecule but perhaps not LittleBigPlanet related, and then drop some megabomb like Uncharted 4 on next-gen).

While Sony may announce a "general" release window it almost certainly won't be a locked date, and don't expect pricing. As for tech specs, some details may be announced (perhaps details about storage and 4K support?), but not the full nuts and bolts of course.

Anyway you can guarantee we'll give you the full details as the event goes down at 6pm EST on February 20 in America (so early Feb 21 in Australia).

    PS3 News
Getting back to current generation news (or perhaps that may change too!?) Rockstar Games have announced that Grand Theft Auto V has been pushed back from Q'2 2013 to September 17, 2013. The delay of five months is to give the developers enough time to fine tune the product to the highest standards expected of the franchise. I guess that gives you a bit more time to play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City which launched on PSN this week for $AU14.45 or $18.95 in New Zealand.
