See that review below? Well we've taken a while to get it online (due to a few reasons I won't bore you with) but today Konami have confirmed that they have lost the complete source code for the games which meant they not only had to be ported, but had to be finished off and bug tested. Not sure if that is a reason for the fog missing in the PS3 port. Anyway check out our review below...

It is certain to shake up the games industry here in Australia - and probably rightfully so. JB HiFi has announced they will start gray importing video games to sell in bricks and motar stores. Given that overseas version of games often sell for half the price of those distributed in Australia this is great news for gamers, perhaps not so much for people working in Australian distributers. Still, can anyone tell me why we still pay $AU109.95 for new release games, which given the Australian doller translates to $US108 - given Americans pay about half that price. We're being ripped off so well done to JB HiFi for making this move.

Might be worth checking out if you're on the fence about the game (we never received it for review so can't say what it's like unfortunately).

This is a little bit of concerning news for the industry with the Lincoln Chaffee, Governor of Rhode Island, apparently "concerned" that 38 Studios, the developer of the rather neat Kingdoms of Amalur, won't be able to repay a $US75 million loan. The developer, which apparently employed 400-odd people early this year, is currently working on a MMO set in the same universe.
Well here's some good news for Aussie gamers, While GAME are apparently refusing to refund, and apparently fulfull Diablo III pre-order (it's a PC game - don't starting looking PS3 owners), Blizzard have apparently agreed to refund any out of pocked funds to gamers. We're not sure of the details, but sure they're out there. GAME have also put up a FAQ with answers to many questions including pre-orders, gift cards and more. Check it out here.

Tomb Raider sees one of video games greatest characters in Lara Croft coming back. Although this latest game has today been pushed back to Q'1 2013 it looks like a very big title to watch. One thing is certain, this franchise reboot looks like a winner. Here's our early look.
According to reports Australian GAME stores have gone into Administration. The retailer has hit trouble in other territories around the globe, including Europe, but it puts the 115 stores, and 500 or so employees at risk. Expect to hear more in the next few days, but the impact is already being felt with the company not even stocking tomorrows massive PC release Diablo III - and cancelling pre-orders including Collectors Editions only a day before release. Further concern revolves around store credit and gift vouchers which may no longer be valid (yet antother reason I absolutely despise gift cards as a gift - may as well give cash!).

Sony has released its 2012 Financials and the reports aren't too flattering regarding sales. As a whole from Apriol 2011 to March 2012 the company lost $AU5.6 billion, with sales of PS3 dropping to 13.9 million (down from 14.3 million the year before). The PS2 sales dropped from 6.4 to 4.1 million units while PSP sales dropped from 8 million units to 6. million - there were no numbers given for PSVita. While the drops - particularly for PS3 - may be alarming one must remember that in the last 12 months the industry was impacted by the Japanese Earthquake, Thailand floods, oh, and that PSN hack too!

Check out his full thoughts in the review.
