Little else is know other then a 2010 release date, and 2-players online or 4-players offline gameplay. You can check out the games official page here.

Pink Concert News
For those who asked, yep the Pink concert was pretty damn impressive and while females outnumbered male attendees by a large margin (not that I'm complaining mind) it was just as entertaining for the guys too! Most of the 58 concerts around Australia are sold out now, but if you can get tickets, I recommend it.

Movie Industry News
Sam Raimi, the director behind that little movie franchise called Spider-man has been confirmed as the director of the World of Warcraft movie. While not directly linked to Sony systems we know a lot of you are WOW gamers, so this will be of interest, and as a fellow gamers I'm very keen to check this out. Don't expect it too soon though as Blizzard and Legendary Pictures have only just signed Sam up and there is no filming dates or even cast set yet.
Site Updates News
I have to apoligise for the lack of updates/reviews/previews this week. I've had a massive week at work with some major issues on my schools network. A virus, and somewhat faulty anti-virus software, has seen the IT guys working flat stick to keep the network running since last week. Good news is that those issues are almost over, so normal updates should resume soon. Having said that I'm off to the Pink concert tomorrow night with the wife, so we'll see you on Friday.

Blu-Ray Review Appaloosa may not be what you'd call a 'mainstream' movie these days - few Western's make an impact. With a cast including Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen, Renée Zellweger and Jeremy Irons this movie is still quite worth a look in our books. Here's our full Blu-Ray review thanks to Village Roadshow Australia.

A couple of weeks ago Firmware 2.80 was released for the PS3 and everyone asked what it did. It wasn't mandatory making many believe it was something for developers to play with. In the last couple of days Sony's awesome musiv video service Vidzone has been updated to version 1.03 - and running it then prompts you to install Firmware 2.80 as well. Still, no exact details have surfaced as to what it does.

Been waiting for the damage update in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue? Well keep on waiting, in fact, don't. It won't be coming as Polyphony Digital have responded to the question with "the team's main focus at this point is making sure GT PSP (and GT5) are in your hands".
Midway has confirmed that their Newcastle studio in the UK has been closed. The company was recently sold to Warner Brothers - including the rights to their franchises - but the Newcastle development studio was not a part of the deal. A few more bits of information have come to light regarding Gran Turismo PSP on, well, the PSP. The game will include over 800 cars and 35 tracks, will not include damage and there won't be downloadable content - with so many cars and tracks why would you need it? The developers are limiting the cars on track to four - your car plus three others to maintain the 60fps frame rate. The game will hit stores on October 1st, the same day as the new UMD-less, more expensive, PSP Go!

Well it's official. Take-Two has confirmed that Bioshock 2 will not be released in fiscal 2009, but has been pushed back until fiscal 2010. The game is one of the most anticipated of the year. Take-Two's fiscal year starts in November, however the company has since clarified that the game would launch in the first half of 2010.
Take-Two have also confirmed that Mafia II, Max Payne 3 and Red Dead Redemption will also be released in Fiscal 2010. While we could still see November or December releases, I wouldn't put too much money on it.
Quantic Dream have confirmed that Heavy Rain will be released 2010 so as to give the new IP a chance of big sales with pre-Christmas sales dominated by known franchises and sequels. Good news for those looking forward to Beatles Rock Band is that the tragic death of Michael Jackson won't see any delays to the game. Why would they be related? Well Michael Jackson's estate owns much of the Beatles catalogue and their is almost certainly going to be a dispute over the estate in the coming months. Now if Australia could get Rock Band 2 released we might actually be happier!
Activision have pushed the release of Singularity back into 2010 so the titles release does not clash with their other upcoming FPS, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - and yes, it seems the Call of Duty name is back on the title.

Some great news for fans of the Katamari series. While we previewed the latest PS3 version a couple of days ago Australian distributers Namco Bandai Partners Australia (Read about that below!) have advised me that the retail price is not $AU99.95 has I had listed, but rather $69.95! That means there should be absolutely no reason not to pick up this game when it hits shelves in Q'3 2009 (with our retail sources pointing to a September 28th release date).

According to reports out of the UK Activision's DJ Hero will have the very hefty price tag of £108, or the equivalent of about $AU220. That's an extraordinary amount of money for a game with the turntable peripheral, but in typical style Activision aren't commenting.
PS3 Preview Katamari Forever may have a strange name, but gamers will know how exciting this is. Indeed one of the most enjoyable games of the PS2 era is being updated and given 1080p visuals for a PS3 release. This has shot to the top of our 2009 most wanted list.

There was a bit of confusion over the last day or so as rumours abounded that the PSP GO would see a CPU speed increase to 480Mhz. That report is false as that speed actually refers to a USB port speed or similar. So we're still going to be paying a shitload more cash, for a reduced capability system. Hmmm...
Naught Dog have confirmed that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will include 90 minutes of cinematics, and a release date will be announced very soon.
PS3 Review Guitar Hero: Metallica allows you to play all the bands biggest songs on the full Guitar Hero kit including two guitars, drums, and mic. In short, this game rocks and is an essential purchase for fans of heavy metal, or the band. Stunning!

According to rumours and a report in the Economic Daily News the PS3 Slimline has commenced production in Taiwan with Hon Hai one of three companies contracted to build the units. Strangely though the report suggest shipment will commence in July - although it is unclear if this refers shipment to retail or Sony's warehouses. If true we expect Sony will have to make an announcement sooner rather then later - perhaps to coincide with a price drop? One can hope...
PS3 Preview Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has really crept up upon us. In fact the movie is due to hit cinemas in a couple of weeks so we did up this preview, not realising the game is due out tomorrow. Harry Potter fans will love this, no doubt about it.
