Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege will be released on October 13, 2015. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is inspired by real world counter-terrorist organisations, and puts players in the middle of lethal close-quarters confrontations. For the first time in a Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six game, players will engage in sieges, a new style of assault where enemies have the means to transform their environments into modern strongholds while Rainbow Six teams lead the assault to breach the enemy’s position. Ubisoft have officially announced that Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will be released on PS4 and XBox One on October 23, 2015 with a PC version coming out at a later date. The game, as had been rumoured in recent months, is set in Victorian Londonin 1868. As the press release states:
" Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is an epic single player experience set in London during the height of the Industrial Revolution, an incredible age of invention that transforms the lives of millions. During this time, the gap between the poor and the rich expands exponentially, making workers’ lives little more than legalised slavery. The lower classes fight for survival by forming a new kind of family – gangs -- and adapting to life in the underworld. Players will embody both Jacob Frye and Evie Frye, twin Assassins raised to follow the Creed. Jacob, a determined, hot-headed and rebellious leader of an underground gang, is vastly different than his sister Evie, a master of stealth and control. Together, Jacob and Evie team up to challenge rivals, plutocrats and Templars alike to free the masses from poverty and corruption, and ultimately wrestle back control of London."
It certainly sounds impressive and you can check out the gorgeous Announcement Trailer below...
Ubisoft has confirmed that The Division will be released in Q'1 2016. The game which is a online RPG/Shooter has been at the top of many most wanted lists since its unveiling a year ago, but gamers will now have a little longer to wait as the game was expected during 2015.
Another tidbit from Ubisoft today with the company confirming they will no longer release games on last-gen consoles (PS3, XBox 360) starting this fiscal year. So franchises and games like Assassin's Creed, The Division, Rainbow Six will only appear on the PS4/XBox One going forward with the only exception being Just Dance which will still see last-gen ports.
Capcom has finally confirmed a release date for Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. The game will be released on June 23 and will come with 1080p visuals at 60fps as well as other bonus content such as new playable characters.

So the other day we told you about the insanely overpriced $59.95 Season Pass for Batman: Arkham Knight which will offer 6 months of post-release DLC. After an ourcry from gamers WB Games have now provided a list of what to expect.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family - An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series - check out the first render of Batgirl. The Season of Infamy - Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features. Gotham City Stories - Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight. Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks - Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track. Crimefighter Challenge Maps - Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies. Character Skins - A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.
Yep, still a complete rip-off it seems (of course there could be 50 hours of content here, but that remains to be seen), but there are a lot of people on forums now cancelling their pre-orders for the title and vowing to wait until WB Games do a GOTY Edition which will likely include all the content, albeit perhaps a year away still - but not dissimilar to the announcement of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor a couple of days ago.

Warner Brothers have today released details about the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass and for fans of the game it's going to be a pretty big offering, and one that will empty your wallet. In fact, the Season Pass, will come with a whopping $AU59.95 price tag. That's right, the extra content will cost almost a much as an entirely new game. As the press release states "The Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass will deliver regular new content for six months post-launch including new story missions, additional super-villains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks.".
What is even more amusing is a Premium Edition of the game which carries a $159.90 price point - basically you're just buying the game and paying for the Season Pass up front - with no incentive to do so. Now don't get me wrong, there's probably a lot of content in the DLC but, for us, the price of post-release DLC is getting crazy, but even worse, we're now being asked to plonk down almost double the cost of the game (especially when it will likley be discounted at retailers in launch week), in the hope that the added content is going to be great value. This is becoming the big con folks, be wary and remember you can buy the DLC when it launches - after you see the reviews.

Over the last day or so word came through that Konami were about to remove P.T. The director of Hellboy and Pacific Rim stated that "It's not gonna happen and that breaks my greasy heart." What a shame...
