A big day today with Sony's The Order: 1886 hitting retail shelves (and the Playstation Store of course). While we're still awaiting our review copy some have been commenting online that the single-player only game can be completed in under 6 hours. Now that's pretty short however as CEO of Ready at Dawn stated:
"I've had many more experiences of very short games that have floored me, that have left me dreaming of the things I could do after, more than the games that have lasted 15, 16, 20 or 30 hours, where I've just been like, okay, I played it through and I got what I wanted, but I didn't get more than what I was expecting. Sometimes I want to be floored, even if it's for a short amount of time."
Slightly Mad's upcoming racing game Project Cars has been pushed back a couple of weeks from March 20 to April 2.
According to rumours doing the rounds wannabe musicians might be pleased to hear the rumour that Rock Band may be making a comeback on PS4 and XBox One. Time will tell...

We just mentioned Housemarque's brilliant Resogun, and news has also filtered through that Defender creator Eugene Jarvis is working with the company on a new game. No details are available yet, but that's very exciting news.
PS4 Preview Final Fantasy Type-0 is indeed an older title, but is being given the HD lick of paint for release on PS4. Speculate as you will, but just remember that the game is censored in Australia, but not overseas. We're just guessing but here's the official and only statement:
Unfortunately over the weekend, it has come to light that the PlayStation 4 retail release of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected has a serious manufacturing issue and a nationwide recall is now underway in Australia.
A manufacturing issue has caused an incorrectly classified version of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for our territory to be released. This strictly affects PlayStation 4 retail versions.
All customers who have purchased the PlayStation 4 version of Saints Row IV: Re-Elected are encouraged to return to their retailer for a full refund.
Replacement copies with the correct content are on order and will arrive with retailers soon.

Those looking forward to Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number in Australia will be disappointed to hear the game has been Refused Classification here in Australia - meaning it can't be sold here - and the developers Devolver have said they won't be modifying the game to suit our guidelines. In fact, their recommendation, just pirate the game! Having said that, and as detailed in this article on Kotaku and as detailed by the Australian Classification Board the game does seem to have some explicit scenes. As detailed in the report:
“In the sequence of game play footage titled Midnight Animal, the protagonist character bursts into what appears to be a movie set and explicitly kills 4 people, who collapse to the floor in a pool of copious blood, often accompanied by blood splatter. After stomping on the head of a fifth male character, he strikes a female character wearing red underwear. She is knocked to the floor and is viewed lying face down in a pool of copious blood. The male character is viewed with his pants halfway down, partially exposing his buttocks. He is viewed pinning the female down by the arms and lying on top of her thrusting, implicitly raping her (either rear entry or anally) while her legs are viewed kicking as she struggles beneath him. This visual depiction of implied sexual violence is emphasised by it being mid-screen, with a red backdrop pulsating and the remainder of the screen being surrounded by black.”
PS4 Preview Wild is a game which a lot of gamers are likely to be very excited about. Why is Wild exciting? Well, the creator of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil, Michel Ancel, has created his own indie studio called Wild Sheep and this survival game, Wild, is the first game from that company. It's a PS4 exclusive and already looks gorgeous.

Electronic Arts and Visceral Games have announced that the Open Beta for Battlefield: Hardline will be hitting all consoles (PS4, PS3, XBox One, XBox 360) and PC in an undetermined future date. The Beta will include two maps, and two modes - Hotwire and Conquest. The game is due out in March, so can't be too long before the Beta drops. Hopefully it allows the developers to iron out a lot of issues that plagued the release of Battlefield 4.
Despite the fact that Australia now has an R18+ rating Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number has been Refused Classification in Australia so can't be released here. According to this article on Kotaku the game has an explicit rape scene which falls outside the guidelines. For us, after reading the details, this isn't acceptable and the Classification Board were probably right to ban the game.
PS4 Preview Saints Row IV: Re-Elected plus Gat Out Of Hell is the first time the franchise is hitting the PS4 and not only includes the previous PS3 title - with visual enhancements of course - but also a tonne of DLC released post PS3 launch as well as the new standalone title Gat Out Of Hell (which is available seperately on PS3). The PS3 release was one of the whackiest, most entertaining releases in recent years and we can't wait to get this enhanced version.
