    PS4 News
Marty O'Donnell may not be a household name to Sony gamers, but he has a large following with Microsoft fans as the composer of Halo's music. On April 11 he was fired by Bungie "without cause" having worked on their upcoming Destiny however it didn't take long for the composer to file a lawsuit against Bungie citing unpaid wages and accrued holidays. Now, according to IGN, the lawsuit has been settled for around $US95,000 which includes penatlies and legal fees.

Looking forward to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End? Of course you are. Well Naughty Dog have today mentioned that they are aiming to have the game running at 1080p resolution at 60fps. This comes following news that The Last of Us: Remastered, which hits the PS4 in a week, will run at 60fps, but also has a setting to lock it into 30fps for people that prefer that.

According to the Korean Ratings Board The Unfinished Swan is heading to PS4 and PSVita. The Korean Ratings board is usually pretty Accurate, much like the Australian Classification Board, so we expect this rather unique, and impressive, game to be announced for those platforms soon. Sony's Gamescom Conference on August 12 anyone?

It's only a minor change but Bethesda has confirmed that The Evil Within, which was recently given a R18+ rating here in Australia, has been brought forward from October 24, to October 16. No reason why was given, but we'd suggest getting the game out before Battlefield: Hardline and Evolve may have been a small consideration.

    PS4 Preview
Wonder Flick may not ever make it outside Japan, but given the developers is Level-5, and the game promises 1000 hours of explortion in a massive RPG. The game is already out in Japan on iOS and Android devices, but is also expected to hit consoles (including PS4 and PSVita) later this year - although we wouldn't expect an English version until 2015.

    PS4 News
Unveiled as one of the first games for PS4 it has been a long wait for Counterspy to hit the PS4 and, well, we still don't have a date. What we do have though is news that the game has been submitted to the Australian Classification Board with an M rating approved. A release could be just around the corner.

Speaking of game classifications Escape Dead Island, the new adventure game announced only weeks ago has also been submitted and been awarded a R18+ rating. That game is due out in a couple of months.

    Movie News
Uncharted director Seth Gordon has confirmed the feature film will start shooting in early 2015 and the script is in "a really good place". As for the lead actor, no one has been cast as yet, however Mark Wahlberg is not in the running as rumoured/suggested a couple of years ago.

    PS4 Review
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark ties both the Michael Bay feature film universe with the traditional Transformers universe in a single package. Previous Activision Transformers games have been pretty impressive, but this misses the mark, by a long way.

    PS4 News
So the Destiny Beta has kicked off today (at 3am Australian Eastern Time) but some people are reporting issues with the Playstation Network being sluggish and some issues signing in. We've tried it mid-morning and don't seem to be encountering issues so hopefully they are resolved. Those looking to download the Beta will want to be aware the PS4 version weighs in at 13.2GB, with the PS3 version a much lighter 6.4GB. Either way, its an impressive game.

Sticking with Bungie's shooter for a moment and the developers have confirmed that while the XBox One Beta runs at 900p resolution, the final game will match the PS4 with a 1080p resolution.

    PS4 News
When news leaked early that the game was in development series producer Katsuhiro Harada had no choice but to cut together a quick announcement trailer for Tekken 7. So yar, it's coming and we assume to the PS4, but for now enjoy the trailer...

    Industry News
In recent weeks rumours have surfaced that Crytek is in considerable financial trouble with wages remaining unpaid or being delayed by weeks if not months. Then there was the underperforming Ryse on XBox One with the sequel, Ryse 2 apparently canned (although Crytek have recently denied all this). Today word has come out that Homefront 2: The Revolution director Hasit Zala has apparently walked away from the project - although it's unclear if it was due to money, or creative differences. The game is/was due out in 2015 and was looking pretty nice at the recent E3 Show.

    PS4 Preview
Destiny is certain to be one of the biggest games this year, and if the recent Alpha test was any indication then the game should be something quite special indeed. Take a look at our preview to see what this game is all about.

    PS4 News
So do you want a PS4 and do you love the movie Frozen? Well Sony are releasing the console with two characters, Anna and Elsa, on the side of it on July 16.

    Industry News
It's a bit of a sad day in the industry today with long-term Tony Hawk developer Neversoft heading into the pages of history. It's not totally bad news however with the development studio being merged into Infinity Ward.

In what we can only see is a concerning move in the games industry mega-retailer Gamestop is apparently looking to partially fund development of games in exchange for additional exclusive gameplay only available when, surprise surprise, the game is sold through that retailer. Of course for the last couple of years we have seen exclusive content on each of the platforms, but this may lock content into the retailer.

    XBox One News
So remember before the XBox One launched Microsoft promised that every console would also be able to become a development kit. Well Microsoft have now reneged on that apparently with Xbox Advanced Technology Group's Martin Fuller has said that there are currently "no plans" for this to be enabled.

Sony has announced the their Heavenly Sword film will be going direct to Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Download in America on September 2. We expect the Australian release to be pretty close to this date so will update when we have confirmation. Here's the official trailer...

    PS4 News

    PS4 Preview
Dead Island 2 isn't due out until 2015 but already this game is generating a lot of buzz, primarily due to the fantastic trailer at E3 2014. This sequel has a new developer in Yager Developments, and sees a shift in location to California. We still have much to learn, but we can't wait to see more.

    Blu-Ray Review
The Lego Movie 2D/3D was a phenomenal hit at the cinemas early this year and now the film is available on Blu-Ray. We've checked out the 2D and 3D versions and not only discovered a fantastic film, but also a superb transfer.

    Blu-Ray News
CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution has announced that Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery will be released as a complete 10-disc set on Blu-Ray on July 29 in Australia. Available exclusively through JB Hi-Fi for $AU147 it's an impressive set. As the press release states:

    Blu-Ray News
Universal Sony have announced that Arnold Schwarzenegger's Sabotage will be released on Blu-Ray on July 31 in Australia. This is great news for Arnie fans such as myself as the film was not released theatrically in this country, and several others, following a poor American Box Office. Directed by David Ayer, the acclaimed Director of End of Watch, Sabotage follows DEA agent Breacher Wharton (Schwarzenegger) who leads an elite task force on a daring high-stakes raid on a heavily-armed drug safe house owned by the world's deadliest drug cartels. The raid seems to have gone seamlessly, and the team think their work is done, until $10 million in cash disappears and everything turns deadly. Keep your eyes open for a giveaway on Futuregamez in the coming weeks!

    PS4 News
Over the last day or so you may have read about a 10GB Day One patch for Sniper Elite 3. It has been confirmed however that this massive patch is for the XBox One version, not the PS4 version with that patch coming in much smaller - although the developers at Rebellion have not specified excactly how big. The game is due out at the end of the week.

One of the best PS4 titles so far is the Housemarque's gorgeous shooter Resogun. While the game is getting a Heroes Expansion Pack next week the game has just been patched to include a local co-op mode as well as a ship editor. Unfortunately the Leaderboards will now be reset, however those with current High Scores need not get angry as they will be added to a Hall of Fame Leaderboard.

    PS4 News
No confirmation from WB Games just yet but Microsoft have listed Batman: Arkham Knight for release on February 24, 2015. The game was delayed just prior to the E3 show from a late 2014 release to unspecified 2015 date.

Bungie's Destiny Alpha that took place last weekend was a real cracker - even now, a few months from release the game looks very polished and we can't wait to get into the Beta and the final game when it releases in September. PS4 News
One of the surprises at the E3 show was that a Destiny alpha was going to launch this weekend - we've had a look at the game and can say, wow, this is a very polished, very fun game which has risen significantly in our "must have" list for the year. Detailed environments, fast-paced FPS action with little lag in the multiplayer made it a fun experience. We'll be playing more over the coming days so will update our preview soon, but for now, I'm getting back to it!
