So we heard the other day that the last-gen versions (PS3 and XBox 360) of Call of Duty: Black Ops III won't include a story campaign due to the fact it has been built around 4-player co-op. That's certainly a shame, but Activision have today released the 'Story Trailer' and it looks like a cracker.
All excited for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5? Well the game is out today, but it may be worthwhile noting that while the game install is only. 4.6GB, the Day 1 Patch for the game weighs in at a much heftier 7.8GB!
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have today announced the release of Monty Python and the Holy Grail: 40th Anniversary Edition on Blu-Ray and DVD from October 29. The Blu-ray™ edition of this comic masterpiece includes fresh artwork from Director Terry Gilliam and all-new 30-minute "Monty Python and the Holy Grail at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival", a Q&A with Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, John Cleese and Eric Idle, hosted by John Oliver and recorded live at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

Exciting news today with Playstation 4 Firmware 3.00 starting to roll out to systems across the globe. This update, as you can tell from the version number, is fairly substatial and includes items such as a Events App, Communities, A Playstation Plus Area, an Increased online Storage to 10GB for PS+ members, Shareing Clips to Twitter, Livestream to Youtube, Request to SharePlay and Broadcast, PNG Screenshots, Stickers and much more. It's probably not the biggest news for most, but Bandai Namco have announced that NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 will be the first game to support Arabic. The game is due out on February 5, 2016.
Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that Aquarius: Season 1 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD from October 29, 2015. In the series seasoned homicide detective Sam Hodiak (Duchovny) finds himself deeply entrenched in the activities of real-life cult leader Charles Manson (Anthony) in the years before he masterminded the most notorious crime of a generation, the Tate-LaBianca murders. Pre-TGS Sony Conference
With the Tokyo Game Show only hours away Sony are holding their Pre-TGS Press Conference today and we will be providing detail on all the big news. Conference opens with a sizzle reel of upcoming PS4 and PSVita titles - yes the PSVita is still a pretty good seller in Japan with new colours coming out on September 17 in the territory.
From SCE Worldwide Studio it's Shuhei Yoshida on stage and will focus on SCE Japan Studio titles. Bloodborne is the first title up with the game getting an expansion called The Old Hunters and will be out on November 24 2015. On December 3 "The Old Hunters Edition" will be released to retail which includes the main game and expansion together.
New version of Everybody's Golf (Minna No Golf in Japan, Hot Shots Golf in America) is being shown from developers Clap Hanz. Huzzah we say! We love that franchise and this newest game will allow player creation and online gameplay and will be out in 2016.
Due out on March 18, 2016, the same as the rest of the world is a little game called Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
From Japan Studio is a PS4 version of Gravity Daze (released as Gravity Rush in the West on PSVita in 2012). It's due out on December 10 with Sony also announncing that Gravity Daze 2 already in production for release in 2016! A Gravity Daze animated series is also in development, while a bundle with PS4 is also incoming.
Sizzle Reel with more incoming titles - Tearaway Unfolded, Uncharted 4, The Tomorrow Children, The Last Guardian, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Hot Shots Golf.
Ubisoft's Steve Miller takes the stage, and has a world premiere video for their previously announced For Honor which looks even more impressive then at E3, and featured the Samurai. The game will get a release in Japan but no date was given.
Next up is a new trailer for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate which also looks stunning - there's no doubt Ubisoft know how to put together gorgeous trailers. On sale November 12th.
Sega are up next to celebrate the 10th Anniversary Project for the Yakuza series. The franchise (called Ryu ga Gotoku there) is massive in Japan, and the company has announced Yakuza Kiwami for PS3 and PS4 which is a remake of the original, with new additions and will be released on January 21, 2016.
In a surprise movie Sega have made the early announcement of Yakuza 6 which will be coming exclusively to the Playstation 4 with a Q'3 2016 release being targeted.
SNK Playmore video is up next - it's The King of Fighters 14, due in 2016.
Due on January 21 next year is Just Cause 3 - of course America and Europe get the game pre-Christmas (well at least we've not heard of a delay, nor expect one!).
Phantasy Star Online 2 gets a brief trailer and 2016 release for PS4.
Star Wars: Battlefront is trailered and due out on November 19 2015 in Japan.
Bandai Namco are on the stage and will show two titles. The first is One Piece: Burning Blood coming to PS4 and PSVita which is being developed by Spike Chunsoft, while the second game is Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs-Force for PSVita.
Koei Tecmo on the stage now Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 on PS4 and PS3 on December 10, 2015.
New games from Koei Tecmo include Toukiden 2 for PS4/PS3/PSVita in 2016, and a new samurai hack and slash game called NioH which looks pretty gorgeous for PS4 in 2016.
Some small company called Square-Enix is on the stage now. Four new titles to be shown today! World of Final Fantasy looks very entertaining with the super deformed characters and will hit PS4 and PSVita in 2016. A new project from Square-Enix and tri-Ace in video form - it's Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness and has been dated for February 25 on PS4. Next up is SaGa Scarlet Grace for PSVita in 2016 (see, PSVita is still strong in Japan!). Next up is Kingdom Hearts II.8 Final Chapter Prologue which includes Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover and another we missed.
From Software is back with a trailer for Dark Souls III and a release date of March 24 for the PS4.
A new Sega game for the PS4, it's ermm some musical thing which probably won't be releaed outside Japan Project Diva: Future Tone and a couple more obscure title were shown also unlikely to make it outside Japan.
Capcom are on stage - 20 years of Biohazard/Resident Evil. Biohazard HD has already been announced, company is wokring on Biohazard: Umbrella Corps - a competitive shooter focusing on teamwork.
Spike Chunsoft aren't a company many in the West would be familiar with, but they're showing Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky for PS4/PSVita which looks nice, but may not make it outside Japan.
Spike Chunsoft have unveiled some wierd panda/bear looking game for PS4/PSVita called Danganronpa 3.
Yuji Horii, a game designer, is on stage for Dragon Quest Heroes II (the original is coming soon to the West) and is coming to PS4, PS3 and PSVita and will support up to 4-players.
Another new game unveiled is the pretty cool looking Dragon Quest Builders which looks to have taken some inspiration from Minecraft. Development is in-house at Square-Enix and will remain authentic to the franchise. The game is due out on January 28, 2016.
After a sizzle reel showing off quite a few Indie titles, Sony are promising to continue to support these developers. On November 19 Airship Q will be released, Sony Music have a theme song from J Dee'Z.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is out on November 6th for PS4 thanks to Activision.
Coloured covers are coming to the PS4 with nine colour variations available in Sony Stores with Gold, Silver, Steel Black and Crystal controllers available December 6 and a new headset on December 3.
Release of Playstation Now in Japan! The Beta of the streaming game subscription service starts tomorrow, September 16, with 150 PS3 titles provided. Games can be rented or 'purchased'.
Project Morpheus, Sony's VR Headset, is getting a sizzle video. Playstation VR is the official name (in Japan, we're not sure about the rest of the world yet, but assume so), with games playable at TGS.
PS4 getting a price adjustment to 34,980 from October 1st in Japan.
Sony have ended their conference with some very wierd advertisment which is pretty cool.
For the first time in the series' history a Call of Duty has been given an R18+ rating here in Australia. All previous titles have been rated MA15+ or M, so this is a step up for Activision's franchise.

Ubisoft has announced that Just Dance, the best-selling music game of all times, will include one free month trial of its new streaming service, Just Dance Unlimited for those that purchase Just Dance 2016 on PS4, XBox One or Wii U. Through Just Dance Unlimited, players will be able to enjoy more than 150 top songs from previous games at launch in addition to exclusive new hits added throughout the year.

Bethesda have announced that Fallout 4 will have a Season Pass with the first DLC due out early next year. The game will also receive regular updates with minor additions to the game and to fix bugs. The Season Pass will cost $US30 (or $49.95 in Australia), and will offer savings over buying the DLC seperately. The other great bit of news is that mods for the PS4 version of the game now look like happening - they had previously only been confirmed for PC and XBox One.
Well it's probably won't have a big impact with hardcore gamers, but today Apple announced a swag of new products (iPhone 6s, iPad Pro) and one of them was an updated AppleTV. While the previous version was primarily used for streaming media and remote playing from your iPad the new version, which will come with 32GB or 64GB of storage will be used for games. Indeed Disney have already announced Disney Infinity 3.0 while Activision are on board with Guitar Hero Live, Skylanders: SuperChargers and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved while other games have been shown and can be controlled from your iPhone while a new controller is also in the works. Expect a release late this year.

It's a big day for Destiny fans with Destiny 2.0 released via an update. This update, which weighs in at a very hefty 17GB, makes a massive amount of changes to the game, but also prepares it for Destiny: The Taken King expansion which is due out next week.

BandaiNamco have confirmed that CD Projekt RED's first expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be called "Hearts of Stone" and will be released on October 13, 2015. The expansion, which is primairly for those who have reached Level 30 characters, includes over 10 hours of new adventures and introduces new characters, powerful monsters, unique romance, and a brand new storyline shaped by gamer choices. It also introduces a brand new system of Runewords that significantly affects gameplay. Each Runeword will impact a different aspect of in-game mechanics and will allow the players to experiment with various strategies and tactics. Teaser video below...

So this news is a little left-field, but very exciting for gamers the world over. Yes, Ubisoft have announced they are developing a next-generation theme-park. Probably big enough news to just post the press release really so here it is:

Combining a rich portfolio of world-renowned brands and an expertise in designing highly interactive gaming experiences, Ubisoft aims to revolutionize guests’ journeys. The project is being led by Ubisoft Motion Pictures, who has a successful track record of expanding Ubisoft’s game brands to theme parks with the launch of the award-winning* Rabbids Dark Ride at French park Futuroscope.
For its first next-generation theme park, Ubisoft Motion Pictures is partnering with RSG, co-owner and co-developer of Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS). “Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game,” said Jean de Rivières, senior vice president, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. “In RSG, we’ve found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development.” said Jean de Rivières.

The park will open in 2020.

Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six Siege will have local servers in Australia when it launches on December 1 for the PS4 (As well as PC and XBox One). The game will use Microsoft Azure datacentres located in Australia to ensure players can enjoy an optimal online experience when the game is launched. "Local servers have been a priority from day one." Said Ubisoft Australia MD Edward Fong. "It is essential that Australian gamers get to experience the same online environment as players across the globe." Huzzah we say!

One of the most anticipated games of this generation is Sony's Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and now we have a release date. The Naughty Dog action-adventure game will be release worldwide on March 18, 2016.
Square Enix Inc. and Eidos-Montréal announced today that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the highly-anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed Deus Ex: Human Revolution, will officially launch globally on February 23, 2016.
Square-Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will be released during 2016. Interestinly it was announced at PAX Prime that Avalanche Software are assisting development of the open-world game.
So the rumours were true... Those that pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will get a copy of Nuketown (or Nuk3town as they are calling it) multiplayer map which has been re-designed from the ground up to highlight Treyarch’s new momentum-based, chained-movement system.
