2006 E3 SHOW



NEW YORK, NY – May 5, 2006 – Atari, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATAR), one of the world’s most recognized brands, today announced the complete line-up of video games the Company will showcase during Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the video game industry’s largest trade show and exhibition in Los Angeles, May 10-12.

Arthur and the Minimoys (PlayStation 2, PSP)
Directly inspired by world famous film director and writer Luc Besson’s upcoming animated film of the same name, the Arthur and the Minimoys game will follow the film’s storyline and feature eye-popping graphics and technical innovations. The game allows players to relive the fantastic adventure of young Arthur and his two pals, princess Selenia and her brother Bétamèche, in their mission to save the Minimoys’ world from destruction. Set to time with The Weinstein Company theatrical release of the movie in North America, Arthur and the Minimoys game is currently in development by Lyon-and Paris-based Etranges Libellules, creator of several successful animated games, including Asterix XXL and Kirikou.

BattleZone (PSP; November 2006)
BattleZone is the modern update to the 1980 classic arcade game. Set in futuristic international military environments, BattleZone puts players in control of highly maneuverable hover tanks, challenging them in close combat scenarios against their rivals with relentless onslaughts of quick, action-oriented battles. BattleZone for the PSP system is being developed by Paradigm Entertainment.

Dungeons & Dragons: Tactics (PSP; 2007)
DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Tactics is the first time the highly-coveted D&D license has ever graced a next-generation portable system. D&D: Tactics authentically utilizes the D&D 3.5 rule-set created by Wizards of the Coast and allows players to take a party of six adventurers into a wide variety of dangerous environments to experience deep and exciting turn-based action. In development by Kuju Entertainment, D&D: Tactics will take full advantage of the PSP system’s wireless capability and offer gamers a multiplayer mode.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 (PlayStation 2)
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is the sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, the top-selling DBZ game of 2005. Combining action, fighting and light role-playing game (RPG) elements, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 will send players into a rich story mode that spans the entire Dragon Ball, DBZ, and Dragon Ball GT series. The game takes the acrobatic and intense 3D flying and fighting dynamic made popular in last year’s hit to a whole new level with over 100 playable characters, 15 vast and vibrant 3D destructible environments, and nine different game modes, including intense single and multiplayer battles. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is being developed by NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. / Spike.

HOT PXL (PSP; Q'4 2006)
HOT PXL, the ingenious and hip new title, brings fast and furious bite-size gaming to the masses. HOT PXL comprises more than 200 deviously crafted mini-games based on a unique and original story premise that draws inspiration from street culture and the digital lifestyle – whether it’s blasting through an old-school style video game, busting tricks on a skateboard or a BMX, stage-diving at a concert, or just trying to cross a busy digital street. Super DBZ (PlayStation 2)
Super DBZ is a new highly intense DBZ fighting experience unlike any other Dragon Ball Z game. Featuring an all-new and more complex DBZ fighting system with unique fighting combos for all 18 characters, Super DBZ promises fans and gamers explosive on-screen environmental damage. Super DBZ is in development by NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. / Crafts & Meister, and including the creators of the acclaimed Street Fighter II arcade game.

Test Drive Unlimited (Playstation2, PSP)
Packed with the world’s most luxurious vehicles, more than one thousand miles of open Hawaiian roads, a challenging single player game and a host of online options, Test Drive Unlimited is M.O.O.R.: Massively Open Online Racing - the ultimate online automotive gaming experience. The action in Test Drive Unlimited takes place on the open roads spanning the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Boasting huge online content, racers around the world can challenge others to join them in the virtual paradise of the game’s persistent online racing world. Players will engage in online challenges, and build communities by creating or joining exclusive members clubs to talk, trade cars, and race with other like-minded and similarly-skilled drivers in one of the most comprehensive online racing experiences to date. Test Drive Unlimited is in development by Eden Games with Melbourne House handling the PS2 and PSP versions.

Console Games
Turok (working title) (Playstation 3; 2007)
Turok is an epic, story-driven FPS game set on a dark, mysterious planet in the near future. Players take on the role of Joseph Turok, a former Black Ops commando, now part of an elite Special Forces squad on a mission to take down a war criminal on a genetically-altered planet. After the ship is shot down while approaching the planet, Joseph Turok must use his instincts and elite military training to elude an army of well-trained soldiers, and the ravenous, unpredictable creatures that populate the dangerous environment. Joseph Turok's mission? Survive at all costs.

Lumines Plus (Playstation 2; Fall 2006)
Lumines Plus is a pulsing new version of the original PSP system game for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. Lumines Plus includes new skins and a two-player battle mode.

Disney's Meet The Robinsons (Playstation 2; 2007)
Disney's Meet the Robinsons, based on the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures animated film, is a time-traveling action/adventure game. Players will experience the adventure as Wilbur Robinson, helping him chase the dastardly Bowler Hat Guy and his diabolical robotic hat Doris through multiple timelines in an attempt to thwart their evil plans. The game weaves in and out of the film's plot, expanding the Robinson world and offering an all-new adventure. Wilbur will have a host of gadgets at his disposal as he battles enemies and solves puzzles while pursuing Bowler Hat Guy and trying not to alter the future.

Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action (Playstation 2; Fall 2006)
Inspired by the "superhero movie within the movie" finale of Walt Disney Pictures' box office hit film "Chicken Little," Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action features Ace, the superhero alter ego of Chicken Little, and the Hollywood versions of his misfit band of friends: Runt, Abby and Fish-Out-of-Water. The crew of the intergalactic Battle Barn faces off against Foxy Loxy and her evil Amazonian sidekick, Goosey Loosey, who have an evil plan to take over Earth. Battle evil alien robots through multiple levels across the solar system and combat your foes in one of three distinct game play modes: Ace on foot as a soldier, Runt as the driver of an armored tank, or Abby as the pilot of a spaceship. The original Chicken Little and his friends Abby, Runt and Fish we know from the film are featured in cut scenes throughout the game.

Disney's Kim Possible: What's the Switch? (Playstation 2; Fall 2006)
Kim Possible and her perennial nemesis Shego must grudgingly team up to bring everything back to normal when the minds of Dr. Drakken and Ron Stoppable are switched in this action-packed adventure. It's now up to Kim and Shego to save the day — together.

Handheld Games
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (PSP; June 27 2006)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, based on the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures' film, is a swashbuckling third-person action/adventure. Players will engage in game play that reflects the cunning world of the film franchise -- with an abundance of disloyalty, humor and revenge. Players embark on a daring adventure while sword dueling and hunting for hidden treasure in the quest for the legendary Dead Man's Chest.

Lumines II (PSP; Fall 2006)
Lumines II is the highly anticipated sequel to the extremely addictive puzzle-based video game, Lumines. Gamers control squares made of four smaller block pieces that are dropped into the playing field one at a time to form same-color squares. The vertical "timeline" sweeps across the playing field from left to right and wipes the same-color squares from the playing field. Unmatched blocks pile up, and the game ends when the pile gets to the top of the playing screen. Advance through many action-packed levels, each with its own musical theme and sound effects.

Every Extend Extra (PSP; Fall 2006)
Every Extend Extra is a unique "puzzle shooter," brought to the PSP system by the creators of the critically acclaimed hit Lumines. Every Extend Extra delivers an addictive gameplay experience through a fusion of arcade-style shooting action, cutting-edge music and visuals. Players evade enemy attacks and then use perfect timing to blast their foes in a colorful display of explosive chain reactions. The bigger the chain reaction results in the higher the score and the larger the rewards.

Licensed Games
Disney Pixar Cars (Playstation 2, PSP; June 2006)
Published by THQ, Cars, the video game, is a high performance interactive experience in the open world created in the film, challenging players to relive the excitement created by Lightning McQueen and his friends. Fans will discover unique characters and environments inspired by the film with more than 10 playable characters and 30 races and mini games to choose from. The game features a fully immersive recreation of all major environments introduced in the movie, including Radiator Springs and Ornament Valley, which will offer distinctive racing experiences to players while maintaining the artistic style of the film.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow (Playstation 2; Summer 2006)
What's not to love about Captain Jack Sparrow? Play as Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann as you hack and slash your way through fully interactive environments, including burning buildings, wrecked ships, and misty moonlit caves. One minute you are fighting hordes of enemies and the next you're evading capture by the Royal Navy. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow is being published by Bethesda Softworks.

Crave Entertainment Announces E3 Lineup

The Ant Bully (PlayStation 2; July 2006)
Nintendo Wii; November 2006) – Go pick on someone your own size! After bullying an innocent ant colony, a young boy named Lucas is magically shrunk down to ant size and embarks on a remarkable adventure. Play as Lucas, experiencing the dangerous and thrilling life of an ant as you battle, explore and forge new friendships with natives and other species in his new ant world. The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy (PlayStation 2; November 2006)
The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy video game pits the characters from the popular Cartoon Network television show against each other in a fighting–adventure game, filled with mayhem, chaos and over–the–top graphics. In battle mode, up to four players can use a multitude of weapons in destructible arenas like the "Desert of Doom " and the "Underworld " to battle it out and be the last one standing. Popular Franchise Sequels, Landmark PC Titles and Exciting Licenses Step Into E3 Spotlight

A year has passed since Xenosaga EPISODE II. Shion has resigned her post at Vector Industries after realizing that the company is deeply connected to the cause of the Gnosis phenomenon. She has thus joined forces with Scientia, an underground organization, in order to unveil Vector’s true objectives. Featuring more than eight hours of movies including voiced cut-scenes, Xenosaga EPISODE III: Also sprach Zarathustra is the exciting conclusion to the epic trilogy loved by RPG fans worldwide. Luke is suddenly thrown into the outside world where he knows nothing of those who might be his friends, or those who already are his enemies. This epic story is told with some of the most realistic character models ever used in the Tales series and beautiful anime cut-scenes by Production I.G. Tales of the Abyss also features the Flexible Motion Battle System where the player controls characters in a free-roaming battlefield.

Pac-Man World Rally (PlayStation 2, PSP; Summer 2006)
Pac-Man World Rally lets players race through a variety of environments from Pac-Man World as Pac-Man, Pac Jr. and other beloved characters from past Namco classics. In one of the fastest and most exciting kart racing games ever, players will race for the win or fight it out in colorful Battle Arenas with special weapons, power-ups and a variety of Pac-Man powers.

Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception (PSP; Fall 2006)
Featuring an entirely new world and story, this first PSP system installment of the popular Ace Combat franchise features a suite of highly detailed and realistically modeled licensed aircraft. Tekken: Dark Resurrection is one of the most explosive fighting games to arrive on the PSP system. In this game, players embark on a pilgrimage to find 5 shrines in Tirasweel, and discover a mystery left behind by a mysterious witch. Taking place in a beautiful world inhabited with rich details, players are quickly drawn into the storyline. Enemies appear on the world map, eliminating random battles. They can gauge the player’s strength and will “turn tail and run” if they sense the player is stronger than they are.

The Fast and The Furious (PlayStation 2, PSP)
Inspired by Universal Pictures' upcoming film, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, this game will immerse players in the underground world of drift racing – a form of racing that replaces simple drag racing with a rubber-burning, automotive art form that consists of an exhilarating balance of speeding and gliding through a heart-stopping course of hairpin turns and switchbacks. ATV Offroad Fury 4 (Playstation 2; 2006)
The multi-million selling ATV franchise is back this Fall for an all-new installment of intense racing action with ATV Offroad Fury 4 for the PlayStation 2. Select your favorite ATV, or for the first time in franchise history, MX Bikes, Buggies, and Trophy Trucks to race through 72 tenacious tracks on six different continents. Featuring an all-new story mode, players will be able to live the life of a rookie rider and earn a path to the ranks of professional racer. Dynamic storylines enable each player to experience their own unique progression in nearly 60 different missions that immerse gamers in an elite criminal underworld in modern day London. Offering a variety of gameplay modes including Story Mode, Gang Battle, Free Roaming, London Pub Games and a unique Game Sharing mode, Gangs of London provides intense free-roaming gameplay perfectly tailored for a handheld system.

God of War II (Playstation 2; Q1 2007)
Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment America’s Santa Monica Studios, God of War introduced a groundbreaking, combat action-adventure videogame based on Greek mythology that went on to capture more than a dozen “Game of the Year” Awards. In God of War, players were introduced to Kratos, a mortal warrior, who set upon an epic quest to dethrone a God. But his journey did not end there. In God of War II for the PlayStation 2, players will retake the role of Kratos. Armed with the deadly blades and aided by new breath-taking magic and new brutal combat moves, the journey will take players through vividly striking environments where they will be faced with a labyrinth of challenging puzzles and mini-games intricately woven into the story. The violent world of Greek mythology will come to life in gory detail as Kratos encounters new mythical characters, and competes in epic boss battles in his quest to the far reaches of the earth in order to alter that which no mortal, or god has ever changed, his fate.

Killzone: Liberation (PSP; October 31, 2006)
Developed by Guerilla, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Killzone: Liberation for the PSP is a third-person action game that puts the players into various missions to rescue hostages from the evil Helghast. Inspired by the events in Killzone for PlayStation 2 (released in November, 2004), the story continues in Killzone: Liberation with the battle against the Helghast still raging on. Featuring an intelligent third person camera system, Killzone: Liberation allows players a more tactical surveillance viewpoint to view their action and read the enemy’s behavior during gameplay. Set in an intense postmodern war reminiscent of the previous PlayStation 2 title, Killzone: Liberation features the unique graphical style to showcase pure grit and realism. During gameplay, players will have access to online and offline missions, supported with a variety of weapons that are unique and innovative, inspired by modern military equipment.

Lemmings (PSP; May 2006)
Developed by Team 17, Lemmings delivers the ultimate in puzzle gameplay, perfect for quick, on-the-go gaming on the PSP. In Lemmings, players will guide a group of cute, but hapless little creatures within each level from an entrance point to an exit point. Fast reflexes and quick wits are necessary to ensure the Lemmings don’t walk to their doom. Disaster is at every step, including the perils of raging rivers, steep cliffs, pits of lava, and mechanical spikes that stand between the Lemming masses and safety of the exit. Lemmings will feature more than 150 levels, including new puzzles exclusively for the PSP. In addition, the game will host a new mix of music, custom level creation, and wireless capability for players to share newly created levels.

LocoRoco (PSP; September 2006)
Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, LocoRoco is an innovative 2D platform/action game available exclusively for the PSP. Featuring unique controls utilizing the “L” and “R” shoulder buttons, players are tasked with controlling via “tilting or bumping” the landscape of the LocoRoco in order to help them navigate through the level and keep out of harm’s way. With more than 40 stages, players control and guide the LocoRoco through vibrant, thriving and lush worlds filled with slippery slopes, swing ropes and more. Featuring six different types of LocoRoco that include their own voices and actions, players will be enchanted by captivating music that communicates the joyous world of these LocoRoco. In addition, LocoRoco features the rewarding LocoHouse, three mini-games, and wireless features.

NBA ’07 (PlayStation 2, PSP; September 2006)
Developed by SCEA San Diego Studios, NBA ’07 for the PlayStation 2 delivers the most detailed and engaging NBA experience both on the court and behind the scenes. Picking up where NBA ’06 left off, NBA ’07 hits the hardwood with new features, enhanced gameplay, and “The Life: Volume 2.” In the sequel to “The Life,” gamers are exposed to the successes and failures of life in the NBA both on and off the court – this time as the league’s star player. An all-new Smart Shot Indicator provides a visual gauge of the impact defense has on shot opportunities, and a new Power Boarding System is now in place to offer a true 3D approach for players to position themselves for rebounds. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters returns the franchise to its roots with hallmark Ratchet & Clank gameplay sure to please fans of the series. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters features all new gameplay for Ratchet’s brainy robotic sidekick, Clank, who steps out from the shadows to assume a prominent role alongside Ratchet. Capturing all of the humor from previous PlayStation 2 installments with engaging cinematics, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters will allow up to four players to compete in action-packed wireless multiplayer gaming.

Rogue Galaxy (Playstation 2; October 2006)
Developed by Level 5, Rogue Galaxy for the PlayStation 2 delivers an unparalleled role-playing game (RPG) experience with visually stunning backdrops, an immersive storyline with plenty of unexpected twists, and a proprietary combat system that gives the player total control of an epic adventure. Set in a vast world, this action-RPG allows players to run, jump, swim, climb, and engage in combat real-time, as they explore active environments in a quest to locate a legendary planet. Players can control up to three characters at a time, each colorfully brought to life within highly detailed environments. In addition to the compelling storyline, gamers will have access to multiple sub-quests and be able to generate custom weapons and items by creating their own factory.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2 (PSP; Fall 2006)
In SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2 for the PSP, players will c ommand a secret subset of the most elite and deadly fighting force on the planet through broad combat experiences including new non-linear mission progression, over 40 authentic real world weapons and a huge area of operation spanning multiple terrain types and environments . Multiple players will once again be able to form clans and take on their friends for team based high-action gameplay via a Wi-Fi connection. Up to 16 players in close proximity in Ad Hoc mode, and online in Infrastructure mode, can compete wirelessly through three new game types across all new multiplayer maps and original SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo maps. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2 is complete with a variety of new gameplay features including non-linear mission progression and a persistent performance rating system. In this system "Command Equity" points can be used to add new weapons to the armory or purchase in-game air strikes and supply drops, and a new “Local Influence” rating system gives players access to black market weapons and intelligence from locals.

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Combined Assault (Playstation 2; Fall 2006)

Entertainment Experiences to be Unveiled for All Platforms
