During early October 1998 Capcom officially announced Biohazard : Code Veronica would be an exclusive Dreamcast title. The series, known as Resident Evil in the west, has sold over 10 million copies of the first 2 games on the Playstation. Capcom are hoping for a very modest 1 million sales of this Dreamcast only game in the series, however they want at least 3 million Dreamcast's in the homes before they release the game.
Apparently in this game, Veronica travels to Europe to find her brother Chris, who appeared in the first game. Not much else is known at this time, except you can count on a lot more zombies to blast away.
A very short movie file was released on the internet in November which, although very poor quality, shows off how brilliant this title is likely to be. The game runs very smooth with a lot more on-screen action then in the first two Playstation games in the series.
Unfortunately Resident Evil : CV has suffered from the Dreamcast game "slippage syndrome". The game was meant to be released in early 1999 but is now scheduled for Christmas Eve. More delays are being rumoured in June so it may slip into 2000. Either way, this is shaping up to be one brilliant title on the system.
